Super A Foods

A typical day at work:
- Ensured that customers experienced excellent customer service by providing accurate information.
- Made sure items are located correctly in the various isles.
- Organized and stocked shelves.
- Packed grocery bags.
- Receiving new shipments of stock.
- Worked independently and with other employees.
- Taking out garbage and cleaning isles.
- Compacting cardboard into bales.

What I learned:
- Learned how to rearrange isles.
- Learned how to work in a more open environment.
- Learned how to pack groceries properly.

Management and Co-workers:
- Managers, supervisors, and co-workers were fair and approachable.
- They were willing to help with any difficulties I was having in the store.

The hardest part of the job:
- The hardest part of the job was cleaning up and putting everything away at the end of the shifts.

The most enjoyable part of the job:
- Helping customers and fellow employees.

My typical day at work consisted of interacting with customers, cleaning, stocking, serving ice cream and handling cash. It was always consistently busy througout the day. Most of the time there was 2 line ups going through the doors to the sidewalk. Again, I enjoyed being busy.

My co-workers and I had a lot of fun while getting the job done. It was always a good time coming to work. It wasn't a difficult job but the one downfall was a sore wrist at the end of the day from scooping icecream for hours. Other than that, everything about the job was great. A great boss, great hours (sometimes too many) and great people to work with. I mostly enjoyed making the icecream- it was a lot of fun.

Cashier advanced to senior cashier. Responsible for training new employees.Learned management skills, problem solving and customer relations. Management always willing to help you advance to next level. My co-workers were always a pleasure to work with. Even though on occasion we had to work out some problems we always worked out an understanding.The hardest part of this job was not seeing some long time elder customers anymore. This was the north and winters were wicked,sometimes the elders just don't make it through the winter. The most enjoyable part of the job was having customers call you by name and tell me how I bring up their day.

It was a wonderful environment,  very stress free. Always something to do.  I worked in all departments Dairy, Frozen, Produce, meat, specialty orders gluten free, 
new items  and international foods. I paid attention to the margins and what sold what didn't.  Always tried to find anything a costumer asked for. Also very good in meat department. I hunt and process our own. Deli and bakery was great. My main job was with the stock and I'm meticulous years of experience 

It was good pay, my co-workers were nice and very welcoming. I learned how to work a cash register, keep my work space clean, how to check Lotto wins, and deal with Sears Canada. The hardest part of the job was cashing the register out, took a lot of time and effort into it, but was always equal. I loved communicating with the customers, even though some of them were rude. It was a great place to work at, it just wasn't the right time for me.

Super A foods had great staff, everyone was friendly, approachable, and always smiling. 
I learned many things from my 2.5 years of working there including, great customer service, problem solving skills, and how to be a efficient cashier.
Hardest part of the job was making someone happy after they came back in with a complaint, but it always seemed to work out.
Most enjoyable part of the job was communicating with everyone that came in.

One of the most enjoyable jobs I've ever had, your treated well and your hardwork is appreciated. Didnt just feel like a number.  Equipment is well maintained; and of a good quality,  the managment is knowledgable and friendly, I enjoyed going to work everyday.

My time at a cashier at Super A Foods was excellent. Managers were great at being flexible and providing support to their employees. Very laid back job, great as a first job when you're a high school student and first entering the workforce. Built amazing friendships with coworkers, and strong relationships with the management. I miss being in high school and working here!!!!

Mostly good environment, a job most people can do. You stock produce, and keep the back clean. Sometimes you are taken away from your job by other employees in the store or work through your own breaks and lunches to get the job done. Overall it is good for a high school student who needs a part time job.

learned how to drive a forklift, order using texalon machines as well as improving my costumer service. Great bosses and co-workers, good hours and understanding if a break is needed from work.
