This grocery store is a great start to being introduced to the retail work field. Due to this store being in a small neighbourhood, the busy periods did not last long, this is perfect for training to be a cashier. i learned how to operate a till, greet customers, organize product the most efficiently to be carried out of the store in a plastic bag, suggest products to customers based on what i notice them buy. The hardest part for me was to be faster in bagging groceries, i was so cautious id take longer than i expected too. the most enjoyable part was helping customers, i love sharing my knowledge on cooking and giving new insight to customers, thats something that has stuck with me still.

This was my first job out of secondary school and learned a lot about people working there. Probably 40 worker any given day, lots of friendly people. Management had a habit of overstepping their role and expecting a lot of their workers who were making the most minimum possible of minimum wages. Notoriously tight with money at the location I worked.

hardest part of the job was compacting the cardboard and plastic using a compactor.
most enjoyable part off it was working with people and making friends.

The co workers was good and easy to work with. Supervisors were good as well but some managers were very toxic and didn't knew how to properly manage or handle situations.
I wouldn't recommend to work there unless you don't have any other option.




Loved my time working in Supervalu, it was stressful at times but a great job to have during college and good experienced in a fast-paced environment. Lots of other students in the company so also really great for making friends

Very friendly and supportive management and staff. Early start and long shifts but such is the life of a baker. Learned how to make sourdough at this store from a fellow baker. 

I liked working there didn’t enjoy the shift I had and management was hard to deal. But there is new management all same workers though and they go through quite a few staff

Bad management makes the job a lot tougher than it is. Constantly micromanaged and treated like children. Not a lot of room for promotions. Shifts were short.

Left to do a lot of tasks without any instructions. Colleagues make the day enjoyable. Supervisors are given too much to do and therefore the place can go on fire at times 

great place to work with great management and staff with a variety of benefits and skills which you could aquire while working in it.
