Job Work/Life Balance: when you finish your job, you don't need to continue working or doing extra-hours, the schedule was usually 8-16 or 8-17 depending on the days, and no more is expected when you finish your day. Also, there was flexibility about days off and non-paid holidays.

Salary/Benefits: if you arrive at your work on time and are caring about your work, you usually can ask for a raise every year but if you don't ask you'll probably don't get it. I checked salaries for Delicatessen Clerk online (around 12.50$ at the time, 2018) and my salary was over that so i think salaries are not bad after you spent some time there and asked for raises. I remember there was a 10% discount for the products you buy in the store. There was a coffee machine in employees cafeteria (you have to pay but it's very cheap, and the lattes are awesome!). Sometimes, your manager can allow you to try the products you're working with in your department, it's nice!

Job Security/Advancement: if you're on time, you're caring in your work, i would say your job is secure, never felt i was going to be fired, some older employees have been there for many years and told me that too. About job advancement, i would say that if you're a fast-paced person who wants or expect more responsibilities, i think it's not the best job for you! If you're ready to wait it's ok but otherwise no. If you're a calm, organised person who enjoys routines it'll be a better fit :)

Management: when i was working there, the managers i was working with were respectful and caring. But in other departments it can be different, i don't know well how it is in other departments.

Job Culture: in my department, i felt there was a good vibe with most people, they were respectful, calm and discreet. But the only issue is we were working in a small space, with many people (around 5-8) and there was like 1-2 persons gossiping / making issues, which had a bad influence on the work environment.

Great relationship and teamwork amongst employees , good flexibility on schedules for students . There are many responsibilities and tasks outside of passing transactions as a cashier such as managing the flow of ur cash , ensuring a neat working space and offering informative service to customers etc.. Hardest part of the job is having to learn certain tasks as you go rather than being trained before hand. Most enjoyable part of the job is getting to learn new customer service skills and friendship amongst employees.

Management doesn't know how to take care of their employees, so they are understaffed most of the year, except in summer,  where they cut everyone's hours (right after hiring new staff). If you want a raise, you'll have to ask at least 10 times, even after they said yes. The customers are mostly nice, but there is a few who can easily ruin your day.
The job is pretty easy to get, and they only rarely fire people.

As a cashier, the job consisted of basic cashier tasks. Had to memorize plenty of codes for fruits, vegetables, nuts, and olives. Hours are given to best fit your schedule (which was great). Lunch breaks are 30 minutes. 

Fellow coworkers are easygoing and fun to talk to, yet some drama may arise from time to time since the other cashiers are young, female adults. 

Management is alright. At times, when you need a manager, they might not get back to you right away.

Most of the younger employees are fun to work with and energetic, but the older employees are unmotivated, unhelpful and disrespectful. Managers do not support their employees when being wrongfully degraded and yelled at by customers. They make everything the employees fault. The customers are difficult to work with and expect discounts and free products and are upset when told it won't be possible. The employees are also very racist and condescending as well as the clientele.

A typical day at work involved sorting fruits and vegetables on counter; restocking shelves; keeping storage room organized and maintaining hygiene at the store. The hardest part of my job was disposing huge piles of trash carefully as it used to be in large volumes.

IT was close to home, enjoyed the work and cutting meats and very busy so no time to look at the clock, they pay you a very low salary and do not care how long you have worked their

The management is old, they pay minimum wage at most, every floor manager likes to think they own the store, however, co-workers are great, really fun to work if you don't care about growth or money, and you are just there to pay the bills while in school.

The behavior of the supervisor was so bad. Without telling the rules, always want to say that it is no good! hurry !. 
There were only steps for going up and down and you can not use the elevator and this is so bad, especially for working in a place that needs to go down and up every time. 

Do not go there , management has no repeat for u , respect only their Greek people. I worked there so many years and they made my life as hel.. and I had to quit from there , at one point I couldn’t breath in there anymore .
