I worked here for about a year and a half. It was not all bad at first, but it quickly became a nightmare. I do not know where to begin to describe how awful of an experience working here was. Everyone I worked with started to despise this job the more they worked.

Leadership is a joke. The office staff does not train you completely, and some central skills you NEED to learn, like administering medication, might not be trained in for months. 2-3 times per shift, as a senior staff member, I had to go to a different residence to administer medication because the staff was not able to. The office will tell you they stand behind you, but they will not. You're basically on your own. Additional training was offered but was dropped the instant Covid-19 surfaced, saying nothing to staff. There is not enough training, no transparency, and if you are not happy with management, they will hold a grudge or fire you. 

Be prepared to have anxiety when your phone rings. Between 2-4 times per week  you will be asked to cover shifts. Shifts change on a regular basis, sometimes the week of, and you will need to adjust your schedule accordingly or your will be SOL. If you work there just a month, you will become "senior staff," and you will really start to notice  how many staff do not make it longer than the training.

Finally, the children hate it. Programming has little to no focus on the individuals, and if an individual hates an activity, it will still be planned. As a result, some of the individuals really struggle and it is NOT SAFE TO WORK WITH SOME OF THESE INDIVUALS ONE-ON-ONE. Oh, but since they are always so short staffed, You will work 40+ hours with that indiivudal, one on one. If you do work here, pray you work with an easy going individual, keep your head down, and continue to look for an organization that wasn't founded by a 21 year old with minimal experience who hires friends, family and her BF into an office role. 



This place was such a joke to work for. 
Scheduling is a mess. Training is not completed. Office staff are so unorganized and not helpful. This company will use and abuse you. Once you push back they will terminate you. They expect you to fall in line and get paid nothing for the incredibly hard job it is. They don’t follow there own policies and procedures. If you get hurt they take it as a joke. There is no protection if a kid goes into major behaviors. You are told to go to the office and lock the door. Kids can break the doors down then what?!? Horrible place to work. So much gossip. Very toxic environment for staff and kids. I don’t know how they still get funding.

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER WORKED FOR.  THEY SHUD BE SHUT DOWN. Management doesn't care about the clients or the staff. They don't allow the client/kids to join Special Olympics or other activities unless they plan it. I got promoted and fired via email, all in 2weeks. You can't have an opinion or you will be gone., That's how they keep other staff scared. You work like a dog for little pay. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!

Schedule and organize daily activities for clients (outings, appointments etc.)
Assist client with goal setting, preparation of meals, finding employment
Track and maintain documentation and client files
Assist client with general hygiene and household cleaning
Interact with clients helping to build healthy relationships
Provide safe environment by checking water temperatures, locking up sharp or unsafe items and doing emergency drills – maintaining and controlling medication

Enjoyed my work at this agency. Team driven and management takes time to listen to what frontline workers need to be successful at their job. Gained lots of experience and was happy with covid responses.

I loved my time working at supports through dreaming rainbow. It is really hard work but if you put the time and effort in when working frontline management takes notice and you will have lots of opportunity to grow and advance.

If you're applying here, I wouldn't expect to last long. Rumors, deep rooted issues, and complete disorganization have cursed this company. The pay is very low compared to the challenge presented on shift. Your mental health will decline very quickly but you only get one "self care" day a year.

They don’t communicate, they will pay you a lower rate, for any hours you work over 40 hours, or what your contract is. They don’t pay you for holidays. They don’t give you any notice of shift changes, always short staffed, you can never get hold of anyone at the office!

Worst company ever they will use you and abuse you .The people in the office have no clue what there doing .They promise you the world and give you nothing .If your offered a job Run and Run fast

Not the most professional environment. Friendly staff. Business management and communication is extremely poor. I am not sure if the organization is a non-profit or profit organization based upon its leadership structure. Nevertheless, a good place to gain experience.
