I look forward to going into the office. I have grown a lot in my 3.5 years at Surepoint and have been impressed with how good their culture was then and how they have continued to make it a company people want to be a part of. Managers are busy and practical but always take the time to have a conversation with you both professionally and personally. 

My biggest challenge is that we have grown so much that capturing everything we do and being able to showcase it can be a challenge but we have a great team that keeps me in the loop of the goings-on at each office location. I enjoy that I get to work with everyone and learn about each person's role and the work they do.

you will gain experience hand over fist if you are willing to listen and  put in the time, great crew of guys to work with, everyone helps each other when needed, knowledgeable management that do there best to keep your interests in mind, you are never forced to work overtime, although its encouraged. personally I had enough respect for the management that I would work any hours they asked without any fuss, project managers and lead hands were always willing and ready to answer any questions or physically aid or complete work themselves

Get to work, make job numbers, enter time tickets, review what files are to be invoiced, double check that all of the material is in the file  and if it is bill it, if not track it down. Once billed make sure coding and signatures are on the tickets and then either mail, or enter into online accounting system of ADP, Cortex, or E-Payables. 

I learned to use different programs and how to plan around challenges that interrupt your daily work plan. I worked with good managers and co-workers. The most enjoyable part of the day is when we would all have a break and laugh.

I had many years of transferable experience before I started but I am continually learning at Surepoint, which helps keep things interesting. I really appreciate that Surepoint has a culture of warmth and collaboration. I feel like an important part of our operations, and that my work/input are valued. The atmosphere encourages quality and efficiency but not at the cost of the employees health.

The leadership team is incredibly forward-thinking, transparent, and approachable. They provide clear direction for major projects while genuinely trusting their teams to execute without micromanagement.

I can say without hesitation that this is one of the most rewarding and dynamic places I have ever worked. From day one, it’s been clear that the company doesn't just talk about a great culture—they actually build and maintain it.

Busy, have to be willing to shift gears as is standard in the industry

I had a great time working for the company I was with.  I got along with everyone. The hardest part was being moved to a position and no one training me. I learned to be myself. I enjoyed making that office sparkle and everyone noticing what Ive done.  Management was ok... management changed a few times so it was hard getting use to someone and having them like you for you.  The work place was great.

Surepoint has a good workplace culture, everyone is generally welcoming, willing to teach and help each other.

Work life balance has been the best I’ve experienced since being in the industry. (For contractor E/I companies) If you need a day off management is understanding. 

The work can be challenging and rewarding, with a wide range of different projects.

Surepoint has a "we care" philosophy however, that couldn't be farther from the truth.  Extremely poor communication within all departments, senior management can never get on the same page.  One day you report to one person, next day another and the cycle continues.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

The management within the Fort St. John branch is very inexperienced & incompetent. They have no consistent work. The personal numbers are up & down due to lack of work. They just hire for jobs with the intent of layoffs as soon as the job is over. All the experienced people has moved on.
