A typical day is working in the earthworks division where you make pads and roads for oil rigs and oil utilities so they can start to pull oil out of the ground. I learned many things I regards to machinery. Specially how each machine runs and how to properly maintain them so they are running optimally. Management was really hit and miss specially with foremans. They are all under tremendous pressure and unfortunately most of them take it out on the workers. I believe the hardest part of the job is working the long hours doing repetitive work. The most enjoyable part of the job is the different co-workers that you get to work with. There is such a diverse personality range that there is always someone there that a person can create friends with.

I liked working for swamp cats, I gave everybody respect liked staying in camps and using accommodations. Enjoyed working for stat-oil and meg energy the most. Followed drug and alcohol policies while up in camp enjoyed meeting and working with new people, didn't like the new schedule and wanted to stay up longer than time allowed because I need the money to support my families

Some great people. And camp life

Unfortunate lack of organization with management

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Some of the staff is very very capable and very good unfortunately in my opinion the owner lacks the integrity to take the company to the next level

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Absolute chaos. Wondering whether we get parts or will be able to make the old junk run😂

Running different equipment, and Camp Jobs.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very little information given at startup of job from head office.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very relaxed and team oriented.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12 hour shifts in camp. Had great foreman to with, they listen to the employees. Only oilfield work is really slowing down.

A typical day would be starting out with a safety meeting.
Checking over our Equipment  to make sure that it fit to preform for the day. report anything that was wrong.
Commence to the work that was given in a safe an professional matter.
Report any incidences.

Have a successful day
An finish off at the end of the day with checking our equipment and track shoveling.
As well handing in FLHA's and safety sheets to formen

Working for this company is like spending every day having a root canal. You just keep thinking it should be over soon. The owner dictates who should work based on the fact he knew somebodies father twenty years ago rather than any kind of merit and the GM is just happy to go along with whatever comes from him. Sad operation.

The people are nice & most of them will help you right away if they’re not too busy. Really great learning opportunity if your new to this kind of work & they’ll help you achieve so many personal goals in life that there’s always something to be learnt by them. 

I am thankful to have had the pleasure of working for all previous employers and am anxiously awaiting my new employer!
I would still be working for them if they had work available. It didn't seem to matter if there was 20 of us or 300, I still felt like I was part of the team.

The foremen’s are amazing and the work is Good. serious when needed to be. Awesome nights and good conversations

Will train if you don’t know how to operate a machine and talk you through it. 
It honestly depends on the foremen/supervisor you get, some can be hard on you and some can be very understanding and supportive.
