Working as a driver at the Calgary location was terrible. The warehouse is the most unorganized  and dirty place in the city and the dock staff are very unprofessional. This is a nation wide company and I couldn't even find a pallet jack to use on my route most mornings. I would have to borrow customers pallet jacks on a regular basis and to me thats completely unnecessary and looks bad as a driver and on the company. Trailers are all dirty because nobody takes the initiative to sweep them out. Dispatch will talk to you like a dog because they can since they have been there for so long. Management was the worst I have ever dealt with in terms of communication and my paycheques were constantly messed up. The trucks are new model internationals and are often dirty and sometimes smoked in. You are representing Manitoulin when you work for Tag Logisitics. You go to work in their building, drive their trucks, and deliver and pickup their freight. I would not recommend working there. 

Work hard go in on your days off load or unload anything your supervisor tells you to and you get treated like garbage talked down to and treated like you don't know how to do your job. One worker told me that you're only as good as your last mistake in this place and they weren't wrong at all. Employees are talked down to and made to feel like they don't know their job by supervisors and management. Forklifts and equipment are poorly maintained and falling apart. Have personally written up a forklift for things being wrong and been told it's not a big deal just drive it and we'll get it fixed eventually and it didnt get fixed for over a month. Job asks for forklift exprience but majority of the employees are incompetent and unsafe driving a forklift. 

Excellent company to work if you want to drive a 5ton truck away from home in western Canada -50 weather doing multiple deliveries for the period up to 2weeks. 
Firstly you don’t need a Class-1 driver to that job, I didn’t spend my time and money in taking Class-1 license and then doing door to door delivery in a 5ton truck for your company. 
When asked form management that why I am not getting truck and trailer work, their reply is -( work is work and truck is a truck). 
Good thing they are not in the aviation field or they will start hiring bus driver to fly a plane. Because for them work is work :) 



Never worked for a company where the managements soul purpose seemed to break the spirit of their employees until they became submissive robots and yes people.
HR and Managemebt paint one picture and then in a blink of an eye concerns brought to them are swept under the rug.
If you don’t fit the break their spirit mould and actually have ideas and opinions you are gone.
They also frown upon their staff interacting and working with the other companies in the building for the mutual contract being serviced.

The people the clothing allowances,  bonuses, steady work,safety supervisers were drivers and understand the challenges, and good work associates

Working for other companies and trying not too screw up their company proceedures

Professional  but understanding the challenges 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not always in contact with TAG but there is an open line of communication with them if needed

As a former hwy driver coordinator, the place is toxic and they pit everyone against eachother. There are 3 companies in one building doing the same thing. None of them work harmoniously together. If the higher ups don't like you or how you are with the drivers they fire you. I had a good repore with the drivers and other staff. I fought for the drivers which I suppose is not the thing to do. If they dont like you they will find a reason to fire you and screw you over for getting ei.   Don't work here. It's  load of manure.  They are snakes. Not a good company to work for. 

Long days if you are a 5 DAY floater and even longer if you are coaching new employees. Can be all over Western Canada and the far north. One thing was the day cabs with an addon sleeper. Not good for being away all week or longer, need long haul units not regional units as you cannot pack into them what you need for the diversity of the job. One day can be hauling LCV then next a super B and need to strap down the load.

Another company name hidden under the Manitoulin name, people are told that their not part of Manitoulin, but guess what you are. Anyway get your interview done by a big talker, no idea what he's doing and get ready for some big stories about his life. Then comes the terrible management problem, they really in the wrong field of work. They treat you like toilet paper and throw you away like garbage. Think you have a full time job, guess again, if it slows down you'll be off for the night. Can't get regular shifts here. Best thing look elsewhere for driving.

I've only been working with TAG for over a month now, and the warehouse they sent me to work at was a different enviornment for me vs the warehouse I was at prior. But I'm not complaining, it's still a good plave to be. They actually had me switch off to another warehouse and honestly, I enjoyed that location as well. Overall, I enjoy working with TAG. I've actually gotten pne of my friend's a job with them and they seem to like it as well. 

Overall, this is a great company to work for. Management is supportive and respectful, and they value their employees. Work-life balance is well maintained, and compensation and benefits are fair and competitive. Job security is solid, with opportunities to grow and advance. The work culture is positive, and teamwork is encouraged. I had a good experience working here and would recommend this company to others.
