The guys in the shop are good for the most part. Favourites are picked by supervisors and everyone knows who is who. Everyone knows everything about everyone immediately after one person learns new information.

Anyone working in the office is oblivious to the goings on in the shop yet still act as though they know more than you and treat you with a “you can make due with what you’re given” attitude. They make random appearances in the shop to say hello to everyone and then they aren’t seen or heard from again until the next visit. 

The people who are promoted are as you’d expect in any company these days. They pick the ones who are incompetent and consistently make mistakes while also having zero leadership skills, but they show up for overtime. 

Group morale on a shift and proper equipment for the job do not exist. Because of the lack of good leadership and favouritism, the morale of the people on the floor is always at a low and there is consistency with the week to week drama and going’s on. There is always equipment needed and it’s always “on order”. 3-6 months is an average wait time to receive something as simple as the correct sized wrench. 

All promotions and raises are negotiated with someone who is not around the shop/office and the also do not know or work with you. 

Things could be so much better if management would work with the people on the floor who KNOW what they are doing rather than just get “X” done and get it done now. 




This company is advising they have competitive wages, yet mechanics/technicians/rubber liners get paid at least $7-$10 an hour more at other places than here for the same work. They claim there is room for advancement and opportunities, but there is nothing but vast amounts of employees frustrated because they aren't getting raises. They claim safety is a top priority, but there is nothing safe about this place. People have nearly died here on numerous occasions since I've started. They claim that they care about employees but literally ignore all employees requests for reviews, tell employees they are replaceable and refuse to even respond to requests. DO NOT APPLY HERE UNLESS YOU NEED A JOB THAT PAYS WELL TO PAINT, BUT GET OUT AS SOON AS YOU CAN. THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO HAVE A CAREER.

Do not work at TF Warren they are one of the worst companies I have ever worked for... management never thanks you for nothing always finds and points out your flaws and what you can "do better." 
 They do not have the proper PPE required for the job so be prepared to work outside in -30° weather with no hand warmers becsuse they don't have to provide them nor do they issue safety glasses during orientation but they will yell at you for not having them... 
It is a Micro managenents wet dream you are ALWAYS watched by someone all day...
Poor management they have protocols in place but they never followed any of them 
Very unsafe working conditions you work outside rain or shine and walking on material is like walking on ice so it is very easy to fall so be very careful is all im going to say 
No hi vision gear i had to supply my own clothes which are now destroyed so point is avoid this place if yoj can worst place ever..
Oh if you love people talking behind your back then youll love this place!!!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working at this job, is there is lots of chances for OT, coworkers are really good to work with for the most part, 4 day weeks, 10 hour days, so 3 day weekends or 4 days long weekends. Pay is okay. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of the job, is having to deal with immature supervisors not all of them on, but there is a few that need to learn that this is a work place and need to do some growing up. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is very dirty and dusty, the culture is okay. Can usually get along with everyone

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start the day with a morning tool box talk about safety and how the month is going. Then spilt into the different departments and get given the jobs that need to be done for the day

Would not recommend working at the Brant corrosion building . The boss on night shift is rude, egotistical, and “never makes mistakes”unfair and unsafe work environment. Management doesn’t know what’s going on and gets bossed around by certain employees who can do what they want while others are punished.  
About 50% or more of new hires are fired within days of the 3 month period.
You get 3 days off when working night shift, but the work/life balance is still not very good considering the hours. (4pm-2am, Monday-Thursday.
Only good thing about the job is that the pay is decent for not needing experience and benefits after 3 months.

A typical day at Tf Warren will start with management telling people what they did wrong the day prior, they won’t necessarily tell you the proper way but they will definitely let you know when you mess up.

Few members of management are more helpful than others but not in the way you’d expect. Team members are encouraged to do jobs unsafely as long as the job gets done in a timely manner.
 In the time I was at TF Warren I witnessed three employees faint from exhaustion, or pass out from intoxicating fumes, or heat exposure. Management covered all three incidents up lied on as many form 7’s as they could and continued to do so up until my resignation. 
Some form 7’s were never even filed because management is just that corrupt. 

.A typical day consisted of tying up,letting go,painting,cleaning inside and out, assist with loading and discharging of cargo,operate and assist with various deck equipment such as mooring winches, McGregor hatch covers and provision hoist. 
.I learned various skills on and around the ship such as operating different equipment, repair and maintenance on ship. Obtaining a bridgewatch rating.
.Management was friendly and easy to work with overall.
.Co-workers were great to work with, always there to help and teach.
.The hardest part of the job was when the company ceased operation.
.The most enjoyable part was the crew in general,and learning new skills.

I’ve been with the company 2 years and have advanced 3 times in that period. Not to keen on wages but again, it better than most out there. Management is decent but there are too many chiefs at the helm and they often do not collaborate ideas which can cause issues. I am respected and trusted to do my job freely with little micro management. All in all I am happy and do not hate going to work everyday. People are for the most part friendly and helpful aside from a few self entitled divas. 

A dynamic and ever changing environment. Where the floor workers come and go like leaves in the fall, and management, like a revolving door. There is a variety of work available, so I will not speak to specific job duties. The most valuable thing I’ve learned here is to not sell yourself short, as progression is an uphill hike through an avalanche. Constant regime change will have managers telling you at your annual (read 18+ months) review that they do not know you well enough to give you a standard raise over a few percent. Career paths develop with one manager, and are bulldozed by the next. If you’re looking for a job, go for it. If you’re want a career, look elsewhere. 

The job was great until another plant manager took over, didn't like my work regardless on how well I did and got fired after a year for a ridiculous reaso. Showed alot of initiative and ambition to move up and learn more within the establishment, but they did not see that even when I threw it out there. Great people to work with just how they run things isn't great, also they aren't to keen on safe working conditions.
