If you spend the time to ask about more responsibilities and then accomplish said responsibilities and more they will still only give you a cost of living increase of 50 dollars a month. There is this push to promote canadian goods yet the majority of the stock comes from china and has a maple leaf slapped on. 

When there were customer issues like harassment the managment would do little to nothing, but that's routine when the management comes in the door hours late.

The company treats you like family, so they overwork and under pay you with the bribe of a christmas gift basket at the end of the year. No overtime pay just time in lieu.

Overall I didn't have a good experience at torleys. I found it a terrible place to work. They are completely disorganized and lost in terms of WMS. product is dumped into any location with out proper identifying factor. The place is a safety hazard. the staff are hardened and miserable. I honestly wish I had something good to say about them but I really dreaded going in every day. They have an incredible employee turnover rate and cannot secure main flowing help because workers run away from their organization.

Working at Torlys makes you feel like family. They give you credit where credit is due.

Customer Service deals with dealers from the east to west coasts of Canada to some distributors in the US.  Each CSR manages a certain amount of dealers, which is great beacuse you get to know the dealers, dealers get to know you. The accounts get managed better than if Customer Service is treated like a call centre.

Everyone from the CEO to the Supervisors and Managers, are very approachable.  CEO knows you by name and gets to know.

Toxic work environment.  When you emso upper management fir price approvals or clarification most of the time they do not even reply to your email.  Certain employees who are either related to owners or friends outside of work with our manager get preferential treatment, better shifts that are not baed on seniority.  Time to find another job...STAY AWAY!

From senior VPs to Directors to the sales team, this place is full of unprofessional individuals. The executive team is incompetent and lack leadership. There is no growth even if you work hard as nepotism and favoritism is what drives this company. To “entice” workers to come into the office, they try to bribe you with food trucks. 
In general, this place has a very toxic culture and I would avoid at all costs. 

Growing exponentially creates issues, but it also generates opportunities.  For those who are willing to work hard and smart - many opportunities exist.  With growth comes change. You must embrace change to work at Torlys.

way too many top executives-  Reverse pyramid

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
micro managed and caustic.  Looking over your shoulder and reporting at every chance

TORLYS was a family friendly organization where staff interacted well and got along wonderfully.  Fast paced and hard working staff who ensured the job got done.

Torlys is a distribution flooring company.  I found this job enjoyable as the manager at our location made it a great and respectful environment to work in.  Despite if there were challenges or issues, she made that work environment a excellent place to work at.

Hard work will not get you promoted.
If you are a social person and stay late you will do better.
Even if you do not do your work during the day just staying late fools many there.
They seem to be more appreciative of those who are good talkers with management, hard work is not valued there.
