What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing. The pay is not succinct for the amount of physical labor and stress this job brings. The hours are random. We are on standby with no standby pay. It's impossible to make plans for the week because you get called in for work the day prior.

They don't properly train their drivers or employees. I was given the keys to their truck without taking the course. They don't want to pay to train the people they hire.  They punish us by not giving us hours or calling us in for multiple days or even weeks at a time.  They constructive dismissal employees they want to fire.

 Its an extremely toxic work environment. The 2-3 lifers they have will talk badly about everyone to management behind your back to take hours from you and the drivers steal tips from the workers.  Anyone would be better off getting a contracting job or even pouring coffee at tim hortons.   They have no loyalty, no integrity, and lack competency.  Stay away from this place.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Toxic work environment, co workers bad mouthing people.  The turn over rate is insane you are working with new people every 2 weeks.  Incompetent management. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, fast paced, no breaks, steal tips from coworkers, no loyalty. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, lifting heavy boxes. Sometimes hundreds in a day. Bottom of the barrel work force.

Oshawa location. Not a lot of pros. Pretty terrible job. Worked as a driver and along it came with major responsibility/liability. For garbage pay.
You’ll have long days, but what makes it better is you get a driver that doesn’t like to stop on anybody else’s accord. Hope you brought a lunch bud. They’ll stop to grab smokes from the gas station though. Now is your chance.
After you complete training as their newest driver you get the truck that has no radio. If your lucky the check engine light is on. Seniority is everything, the only time you’ll ever breathe in their nicest trucks is during training. 1134 has a nice radio. 1116 is clean too. 1015 is blessed.. 
Some of the residences you see are remarkable. The long drives aren’t bad as long as there’s a scenic route.
“Part time” employees working near full time hours most paycheques, getting away with robbing their workers of benefits. Uniform and boot allowance to cover it up because your special. Overworked and understaffed environment.
Most ‘movers’ were chill, great guys. Made the time and moves go by smooth. Turnover rate was high during my employment. Can only put up with so much right

1 year of work and you get a $0.50 raise with a capping point that keeps you far from what a driver maoes whileyou do all the work. No benefits. Terrible coworkers who are normally lazy and you do all the lifting so you can get home at a decent time which never happens. You are stuck. Could be a quick move or you could get a surprise which happened all the time where a 4 hr move becomes a 12 hour move that you can't leave from. Even if you go over 40 hrs you'll still be working because the pay is so little you can't live. You will be forced into dirty unsanitary situations and will be told to just do it even with bugs or hording clients. Driver will give you next to no time for breaks. You'll live at gas stations and tim hortons. Every quote is not accurate and you will be over work and underpaid. Not only is tye management terrible but so are most your lazy coworkers and unruly customers. The only thing they give you is a boot coupon that you pay back on your paycheck! 

A day at work can be rewarding but also brutally hard, I learned a lot with my driving and abilities. Management has its ups and downs like everything its not perfect, Co-workers are hard to rate cause of turn over, hardes thing I struggled with was constant flow of hours, the most enjoyable part I would have to say is when you see a customer happy when their home arrives safe and sound and when they get the full benefit from a professional service. Its all about making some ones life happen. In a matter of 8 hours you can kinda feel like you get to know people. They are basically in a sense allowing us to take care of their life for a day. So its upon to make their experience as effortless and enjoyable as possible.

Owner of Toronto franchise (3) doesn’t pay employees on time 
-consistently shorts pay cheques 
- egotistical 
- has inappropriate relationships with staff (csrs)
- underpays 
- over promises and under delivers 
- consistently breaks the laws set out by MTO
- penalizes you when you speak your mind 
- no respect for employees 
- sweeps issues under the rug 
- lies consistently 

During my time at two men and a truck I was miserable and was made to believe I wasn’t worth anything by the owner, John.  He used to make comments all the time like “you think the grass is greener on the other side” “you’re replaceable” “you’ll never do anything better”.  This was his message to all levels of staff. He pretends to be nice and charming but really he’s a used car salesmen. Two men has a great business model, it’s really unfortunate that some owners ruin its reputation. Would always make comments about the movers how they are “idiots” and other profane words that are unacceptable to repeat. 

STAY AWAY FROM TORONTO FRANCHISE AT ALL COSTS!!!

No protection from customers yelling at you. You get thrown under the bus by the owners in front of the customer. 
The two people who own the place expect you, when you work in the office, to do 3 different jobs at once. 
Customer Service Representative. (Booking moves)
Accountant. (Charging customers, who are angry most of the time cuz the movers broke something) 
Customer Care Provider. (Deal with all the complaints from the movers damaging things)
Oh, then they criticize you when you can’t do it all. Which no one can. They will throw shade at you as soon as they walk into the door. Within about 6 months, 7 people in the office quit. They always get happy when you quit cuz they don’t like to pay E.I. 
OH, & they DON’T pay overtime. 
Guess who is making a report. 
The operations are run poorly cuz there’s only one person on the operations team. So they the movers are always late so now you gotta deal with the customers who are mad cuz their movers are late. 
The management/owners are the worse.

Worked as a Mover for a very short period of time.  Very heavily corporatized.  They give you the "grassroots beginnings" shtick, but training is pretty thorough and helpful.  Everything on the job started fine - they teach a lot about safe work under all circumstances, but the movers are competitive jocks that lost patience with someone new like me trying their hardest to adapt to the job.  Their impatience started creating safety hazards.  It's hard work, and unless you get a good bunch of supportive people (or unless you're dedicated to breaking your back for minimum wage), I wouldn't recommend this position.

Also, they make you sign a confidentiality agreement not to talk about how much you make with other workers... you know... lest you should accidentally discover that you've been discriminated against with garbage pay.  But that's just something I don't agree with.

Management was great, easy to get along with, very helpful.

Your schedule is day to day. You will work 60 hrs a week in the summer and maybe 25 in the winter. You never know what the job is so you can't make any plans. If your a hard worker and good w customers you can make good money. Maybe 800+ a month in tips. But that's not everyone.if you don't have that in you no point in even working here. Good to hustle hard for a year make some bank and move on. 

O and those 60 hrs a week. Thats not over time cause you will get bounced between multiple franchises. So come cheque time you get 2 or 3 cheques from dif places. 

The turnover is very high. So the guys that have been grinding it out for awhile don't tolerate any BS. So come prepared to work or don't bother. Real talk if you grind you can probably do 800$+ a week in the peak season as a new guy. The money is ok out of the gate. But the schedule is a grind and alot of people don't have it in them. But the pay can be good. Just put it towards something and move on after a bit. 


Fun workplace with great people (employees and management).
Learning the aspects of maintaining and operating a 26 foot truck for 4 years is an experience I wear on my belt. The environment and general job procedure really does promote determination and being the best one can be.
The time spent under this employment has positively benefited my health in cardio but most significantly in my strength capability. As with most jobs of this nature, it is common to be fatigued and irritable, however, it is that very aspect of any job where one can learn to further their skills as a person and inter-personally. My colleagues have taught me positive social/physical skills that can be applied beneficially in my life.

I came in for an interview and was told there were very little benefits, as well as minimum wage even though moving is hard work. Plus the hours range from part time to full time, and you can't make a living off of part time hours. But I needed a job and was interested anyway. The same day I got a call saying I could start orientation the next day. I quit the casual job I had (needed something more stable and permanent) and was ready and excited to start my new job. Then they canceled my orientation and said they would get back to me. That was 5 days ago and I have heard nothing. So I am now out of a job and left stranded. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
