For all "actively looking" starting a job here would be like jumping on a burning ship. Horrible leadership from the very top(lack of consistent decisions). I'm not ranting, just look them up on reddit (MPC moving picture company is the business unit i work for)  the organization heads to one direction today & exact opposite in the next few weeks. This leads to very toxic working environment, all department heads just point fingers at each other to blame for absolute failures which are forecasted but get ignored or are not prioritized by senior leadership. Nepotism is another issue, most department leads in the office are all friends/buddies so good luck actually pointing out a department flaw, its usually taken personal. Just look up their share value in the market of the last 2 years, you'll understand right away that this place needs to wipe the slate clean & get new execs. 

Typical day - come in, do your assigned work, leave. Organize shipping orders, prepare reports.

What I learned - HR does not get involved in any serious issues, nor do they take employees concerns seriously, except if it is in their general interest

Co-workers - I worked with some really good people. Some not so great. Mainly south asian decent, which was fine until they kept speaking in their native language even after multiple requests to speak english.

Hardest part - Not very challenging, it is a relatively easy job

Most enjoyable part - Some of the management I worked with was very cool. They allowed us to listen to music while working and have culturally relavent parties, as long as the work got done.

Everyday is a new challenge in the company , everyday has its own way of dealing with staff,orders and deadlines .
Management team pays a big attention to details and give full support to Supervisors and staff.
Co workers works as one team and that is the key of success for the company.
our business  as mentioned earlier is different from day to day , managing the staff with minimal staffing when slow and maximum staffing when busy within 2-3 days , bringing new staff and training them on the company policies in challenging sometimes.
Looking at the empty dock in the end of the day means all orders were shipped on time brings joy to me in the end of the day.

Team assignment and resource allocation after a brief review of the workload starts my day. Regular communication back and forth with other departments and external clients largely helped me to co-ordinate and improve my project management skills.
 Technicolor provided me an opportunity to work with people having diverse cultural backgrounds and skills. I got a fair enough chance to move up to this position since I started. My challenges at work include meeting the deadlines with limited manpower. Delegation,co-ordination and supervision opportunities offered to me helped me skillfully emerge as  the best player of my department while enjoying the ride.

Supportive environment, Experienced in dealing with constantly shifting deadlines and re-prioritizing daily workload to effectively meet all client needs.
Liaised with clients to update protocols, identify possible copyright issues and acquire needed reference materials such as dialogue and dubbing scripts.
Maintained relationships with the Warner Bros marketing (Glendale) to ensure that all translations met expectations for product branding needs.
Coordinated quality control efforts to ensure that audio, video, and subtitle assets met Client spec prior to final.

Typical day at work involved helping the distribution manager with his transfer orders and creating paper work for him. At the workplace, I learned how distribution works, how to create transfer orders and inventory. The most enjoyable part of the job was no safety shoes were required. Management and co-workers were easy going, never gave me trouble and were very friendly and lending a helping a hand. Nothing was too difficult for me, as long as I got the proper training.

The job is technically intense. You need years of mentoring to learn the tools and train your ears to do good work. To get this job you either have to be very lucky or ambitious. Nobody will give it to you easily. You will have to do your classes and wait to see if someone is willing to let you sit by their sides. You have to be patient. I love my co-workers and meeting amazing people with great projects is what i look forward in this job. I have a passion for it, but i want more work !!

While working for Technicolor Canada I gained a great deal of hands-on experiencing working in a fast paced evolving environment. Everyday was unique due to the fact that we produced media content for some of the biggest companies. Warner, Disney and Paramount etc. I guess I would have to say the hardest part was seeing the decline and demand for physical media with the advent of newer streaming service.

As part of the HR Team in the UK office, I learned a lot. Is was a very supportive working environment. 

There was a restructuring of the department going on during my period of employment which meant my job role underwent a lot of change during my year and a half. 

I would recommend working here though. There is lots of scope for advancement and great HR management who can provide mentorship and guidance.
