If they find you're committed to the job, they upgrade you to keyholder pretty soon. If you're part time, they are really flexible with your schedule, but they expect the same from you as well, that means giving you opening and closing shifts, often one day after the next. If you want a job with a stable schedule, and career growth possibilities, this is probably not for you. There are rude customers and you just have to "nod and smile" and please them as much as you can so they would come back, even if it's not fair, but the customer is always right, like in any retail store. Management is taking more and more options away from customers, so they go after their servers. They give you a loaf a day for free and if you close the store, you get to have whatever is leftover before donating to different organizations.

One of the better pastry jobs I've had. Mangment is very clear and direct with information. Easy to talk about problems and they address things quickly. Work place was clean and organized, they have strict standards but if you follow directions it's easy to keep up. Most co workers were great, some people have been there for the 10+ years. Benefits and pay were very fair, they gave my two raises in the 11months I worked there. Taking time off could be a little challenging but was usually accepted within reason. Paid 30min break, so you're scheduled for 8, but only work 7&1/2 hrs. Worst thing is sometimes the work itself is very repetitive and monotonous. 

I have learned so much at Terra Breads from the various roles I've held here, from a server, to a barista, and finally in my current position as a supervisor. While I am often confronted with difficult situations, such as frustrated or confused customers, or keeping track of the cash and overall supplies of the store, I have learned to deal with these experiences in an organized and efficient manner, and I've even come to develop positive relationships with both my coworkers and other customers. It has been a rewarding experience working here, and I am very grateful for all I have learned.

Terra Breads is a great place to work for the people. Even though some days are very busy and exhausting. It is always satisfying to know at the end of any day, we are working for and with genuinely good people, who are doing their best. There is also opportunity for growth and career development.

The employees were fun to work with but the issue with working at Terra Breads that makes you really think about society is some of the customers and the frequent demand of looking happy when a moms baby is screaming in your face or when a customer tells her son that because you made a mistake is why you're working here and why her son should care more about his education make you really want to not work there.

Terra Breads is a well-run and generous company. Food safety and quality is a priority. Leftover product is donated to a variety of organizations at the end of each day.

Nice place to work. Great co-workers. Managers are welcoming and available. Amazing products. Sometimes things could be a bit chaotic but everyone looks out for one another.
