What is the best part of working at the company?
They help the Personal support workers at every step if we need. Victoria site administrators provide proper training to their workers regarding the whole daynight clients schedule, so its easy and efficient for us to do shift.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Long day shifts are very less. Its very hard to do shift only for 3-4 hrs.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is good. They provide proper help and training to their employees.Especially Maria and Marliyn are very nice, supportive managers.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There is no any specific day. Well, first day of my joining was  good. I met Marliyn manager and we did nice meeting.

The Key is poorly managed, has constant leadership turnover, is now private/family led health care and does not currently have enough clients in Waterloo Region to offer full time hours. They are now offering short 2.5 hour cleaning shifts, which include duties that are not within a PSWs scope of practice. In addition to that they do not offer health care benefits or an EAP. When asked for time off, be it scheduled vacation or emergency they will contact you if they want you to work during that time off period. This employer does not value its employees.

I’ve been working with home care assistance for 2 years now , they’ve always treated me with respect , gives me the right training and the right information that i need , pays fairly ,understanding and supportive, their purpose always is to give the client high quality of service and keep the employee happy and comfortable to be able to give all from our hearts to our clients the best service that they deserve,I highly recommend this company , big thank you for the manger zareena for everything that she’s done for us and the clients

I choose my shift hence making it very flexible for me.

Depends on the client you are assigned to. Overall communication is good

Everyday comes with its own challenges, never a dull moment at work

All inclusive in the sense that staff are carried along in official activities

None that I know of all I know is you get to be given more hours to complete your work

Am a caregiver on site at my clients

Owner is very uppity,will sneakily attempt to change hours from fulltime daytime/evening to part time nights and weekends but will say they don’t have the hours . But will hire more staff all the time . No support for ones mental health ,instead one is asked why do we need a day or two off after working 60+/in a week . One is treated like a number in stead of a person if you stand up for yourself.

tro  be  there  when  the  need  me  cook  food  and  take  care   of  everythink  the  need  me  do 
i love  to  work as  team   my  hardest  par  is  when  you  loos  you person  that  is  haedes  part for  me  because  you  feel  like    you  be    the  part of  the  life   
enjoyable part for   is  when  you   patient  make  fan of  you  or  when  you  have  fan   sing  song  and  dance   i love  to   be there  with  them   when  is  good  time  and  bad  time

In my time working here, they treat you like you are replaceable -- because you are! 
They guarantee things that they don't follow through with, making it hard to find a balance between home and work life. They have a very high turnover rate, so they are always recruiting people, even those without experience. The pay is not worth the things they expect from you.

OUR COMPANY JUST STARTED ABOUT 3-4 YEARS AGO IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN. THEY ARE PRETTY YOUNG IN THE BUSINESS BUT, THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECOGNIZED AND TRUSTED. THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT MUCH BENEFIT THOUGH, WHICH IS FRUSTRATING, AND SOME OF THE HOURS ARE SHORT. I AM WORKING WITH ELDERLY AND SO FAR I AM ENJOYING IT SINCE I GREW UP WITH MY GRAND PARENTS. 

I have had so much fun and experience since I started to work for Home Care Assistance. the staff are really nice and always try their best to work around our schedules. The benefit that we get is also really good. I enjoy working in Home Care assistance a lot.
