Tier 1 Energy Solutions

Tier 1 Energy had a great group of people to work with but hours were to long without regular days off.A typical day at work would start with travelling to location, safety meeting, servicing tools, rebuilding guns and repeat for 12 to 14 hour shift.  Return to camp or hotel.  I learned about downhole trouble shooting procedures.  The management at Tier 1 Energy Solutions was very good.  Workplace culture consisted of others operators having poor attitude not willing to learn job tasks required of them.  But Supervisors were very good at supporting me in my decisions.  The hardest part of my job was being away from home and very long shifts.  The most enjoyable part of my job was the people |I worked with.

This is the worst oil company I've ever worked for. Management is not honest and very manipulative. They have no care for their employees. There is no job security. Daily bonuses are small so you will not make even close to what the advertised job post states. You can work hard, never miss a day and be reliable and if it fits their agenda down the road they will not think twice of letting people go and give no explanation other than "your not a good fit". I've seen it happen to many people. The best thing I ever did was leave before it happened to me. STAY CLEAR OF TIER 1!!!!!!

A typical day at work is quiet, there are no customers to deal with but you are kept busy with work
I have learned to improve my time management skills and improve my Excel skills
Management is bothered by questions and does not offer much help.  You are expected to know how to do something on your own or figure it out.  There are too many managers and only a few employees.  Training is typically around 10 minutes to learn something if they take the time to train you.

I have learned a lot from the management team. Open communication and willing to share their knowledge. 
Lots of opportunities to learn and advance if one would like to. 
Nice place to work at with a good team with whom you wish to work with until retirement. There's always someone to help whenever you need or ask for assistance.

Wonder who will stab you in the back first !!!

If a person could stay away from the drama it would not be to bad

This is the worst company to work for. Management is dishonest and will make you do unsafe things if you want to keep your job. No job security. Low pay and there isn't regular work. The advertisement is misleading. Management  does not help. Training is very minimal and you are expected to figure it out on your own.

Worked 2 years as a completions shop hand from 2017-2019. zero room for advancement and very poor management skills. Zero accountability at this company. They play favourites, especially if you’re a friend of management. Will keep guys on that have had MAJOR service quality issues almost costing lives but will let people go over “not a good fit” I would not recommend this position or this company

Management is dishonest and doesn't give you much training. They will ask you to do unsafe things to get done quicker. There is no job security and not much room for advancement. This is the worst company I've worked for. Very low field bonus pay. Don't waste your time.

Worked here for 5 years and this is the first company that practises what they preach. They take safety very serious and defiantly promote from within. In my 5 years I seen all of management come from the field and at least 6 supervisors that came up the ladder. They live and work by there core values

Make great money however work within a very hostile environment and management that does not back employees. Director level is great, very supportive however there is a lack of communication between director and management which causes a very hostile environment to work in.
