Inbound call centre type of work. Customers would call and pledge donations towards not for profit organizations based on the commercial/ads seen  on television and we would accept donations and send out thank you packages. It was rewarding speaking to passionate customers who generally cared about the well being of people half way around the world. I learned that people in life are good people and we all genuinely would love to help others no matter who or where they are. Management was ok however I don't believe employee development was a very high priority. The hardest part about the job was speaking with management. I would have rather liked to have open communication with them and have the ability to make suggestions but there was not an avenue to do so. The most enjoyable part was speaking with the passionate callers. It left you with a good feeling knowing people were calling wanting to do the right thing.

Contracted to join a small team in an inbound call centre, managing communications for a number of major Canadian charities. I worked closely with the department manager and strived hard to ensure strong relationships were built with external clients.
 Handling incoming client phone calls, satisfying and processing orders to an excellent standard.
 Being entrusted with sensitive and confidential client data.
 Effectively prioritising and handing over any complaints or difficult clients to the line-Manager for further processing.
 Working under a high-pressure environment in the lead-up to Christmas.
 Often demonstrating the need to be highly flexible within the role.

The hours are terrible. No matter how hard you work, you do not get rewarded, there are no pay raises unless it’s a cost of living increase, so the laziest of workers make the same money as the hardest of workers. There is no room for growth. And you are treated like a prisoner while on site. I witnessed  a sick employee be told to clock out to go to the drug store and buy medicine , instead of sending him home sick. They’d rather risk everyone being sick and that employee suffer instead of telling him he should go home. It’s just an altogether horrible place to work. 

- Tasks you are give are relatively easy to understand, if you don't know what you're doing just follow the script or ask the floor manager

-Everyone is given the same training but some who are more technical than others get the specialized calls

-Hardest part of the job is dealing irate callers or people who don't understand what a call center is.

- Overall the job at tigertel is relatively easy, its fast-paced, people come and go, lots of interaction with your peers, highly recommend this place for part-timers.

A bunch of us were hired to do emails responses.  We were paid minimum wage AND had to pay for parking out of that.  Hours were all over the map, and seniority meant nothing, people that were hired after me were given the better hours.

Management was not about sharing, they knew the selling of the company was happening and said nothing until it was done, and although co workers were awesome and very upbeat, morale was low because it there was no trust with management.

The Job itself was not exciting but it was okay because the co workers were so fun and great.

The typical day at work is busy answering telephone calls but I learned to be more efficient in dealing with clients thru the help of my colleagues.  I can easily talk to my superiors whenever I have issues or concerns.  Everyone is focus on their task especially when dealing with difficult customers, this is the hardest part of the job.  I feel good every time I get positive feedback from our clients.

Tigertel was a enjoyable experience in the sense that everybody was welcoming and friendly while at the same time kept a professional attitude to clients and guests.  However, sitting in a chair all day talking to people over the phone can get quite exhausting.  I find cognitive tasks more taxing than physical ones, so if you can handle talking to people all day then I would recommend this employer.

Learned how to deal with difficult situation and customers. What I really enjoyed was the co-workers and the culture over there. The hardest part is to make the customers realize to that the promotions that we have are beneficials for them.

The ultimate goal at TigerTel is the obtain the highest amount of donations for our clients and the manner in which the goals are reached at TigerTel is spectacular. 

One of the best work environments I've had thus far.

Good coworkers, dealing with irate calls, management was helpful. Learned a good deal with customer service inbound and outbound calls. It was fast-paced as a third party call centre environment.
