The only real issue I had in my time there was the age and reliability of the equipment I ran. My experience may have been an outlier but I was starting to have way too much downtime for repairs and decided I wanted to try something else as a result. Management and office staff were all terrific. Very accommodating and field staff was always treated very well. Pay wasn’t quite as much as other places were offering, but I wouldn’t consider it significantly lower. When it was busy I did very well. Pretty hit and miss at times being mainly oilfield work. Got to see some great places and worked with an awesome crew. 

The company culture is the worst I have ever seen in my professional career. Safety program is non existent, they treat any employees that are not apart of the original group as outsiders and they are not welcomed. They do not want to change the way they operate their business to improve and adapt to changing market conditions. They want to operate the same way as they did 20 years ago. Anyone with any business smarts are treated as a threat and are ejected from the company.

Brought on for my experience as they were taking on a new job. Was told I would get complete truck and tools. Got a truck and had to use my own tools. They ask for opinions. They will not take it serious.  They had a month to do the changes.  And did not.  Sent out equipment that was not ready.  Scab equipment together to push it out the door. Gate/ball Valves leaking all over.  Changed the schedule all the time.  Sometimes 3 times a week. The supervisor is a joke. If u are not a friend of his going into this company  Good luck. 

Most enjoyable was payroll and helping with others in their departments. 
I learned no job is worth risking your mental health because of the unorganization from the upstaff and the expectations that 1 person can  do an Abundance of tasks in an 8 hour day that they barely got trained on. Nice people. Truly, most were lovely. 

I've been in the oil patch for years and never have not wanted to work until working for Total. Let's be honest folks training, management , and chance to move ahead are next to none. If it was that great of place to work why all the turnover. That says it all. Have some respect for yourself and keep looking for another job

I worked in the shop at Leduc  and I was more than appreciate for the work I did I. The past for them  if something was needed it was there for me  and we never skipped on proper parts and install  if it needed it it got it  good group of guys there as well as the savana crew  lots of laughs and good times we even went go cart in Edmonton as a crew for time spirit  pizza party’s  Gatorade in the fridge and even ice cream hear and there on the hot days 

managment was all oer the place and certain managment was extremely hostile and rude and hard to work for. other than that it was gret i learned aloyt safely. hardest part of the job was having to jump in the truck and sit passenger inbetween job sites. i dont like gettin too relaxed in the middle of a work day. takes away all the steam ya know.

Total oilfield rentals has a diffrent idea about what work should be like. management has a minimal clue about day to day activities were the mid level employees have to puck up the slack, also they have ideals that are not manageable for only one person. 

just remember totals policy if your a mid to low level employee its your fault.

very unorganized management and felt like I was always on the chopping block... was also lied to continually. was told I was not going to be laid off during the slow season and 4 days later was handed my walking papers with severance but still would have rather kept working

If you want to work at a place that has zero respect and manager Has no idea what he’s doing then this is the place for you. You Want to deal with junk equipment then this is the place for you. They have no staff no Field Tech no centrifuge hands. Everything is third-party because they can’t get no one to work there
