With a thirty year legacy codebase still "maintained" as Trapeze's software foundation and years upon years of nonsensical paradigms for separating code for customers, there is a large risk of losing your mind at this company. The pressures and demands from out-of-touch sales and management teams and poor handling of work assignments and expectations, you will spend a great deal of time performing patchwork fixes on already patchworked patchworks with not a semblance of code quality assurance anywhere in the process from anyone but your immediate colleagues, who are just as stressed and lost in the chaos as you are.

Countless customers unhappy with their inevitably subpar products create escalations upon escalations, yet there is never an effort to genuinely respond to these concerns by giving developers time to reimagine and refactor the broken solutions built upon yet older broken solutions.

Trapeze Group lacks internal competence. There are systems still in use which no one truly knows how they function, and for older code you will be hard-pressed to find colleagues who even know decisively how to edit and compile it.

Workers are not used for their best competencies, nor are those competencies respected by the aforementioned out-of-touch management who make decisions on their behalf. The dreaded open-office environment is the bane of productivity, so relish in work-from-home opportunities if at all possible.

The pay is good, but unless you are willing to suffer emotionally and intellectually, it is not worth it. Do not work here. They hate their developers.

Was hire as a Software Developer with 5 years of experience, they only pay $51000 with a bonus of $4000.  After tax, that's not much.  They give you  laptop and expect you to work over time without pay since they have a bonus incentive.  The managers are really bad.  They really push to get the work done.  I've seen yelling and screaming.  They always look to hire people because employees just left one after another.  They even made some developers cry.  It's a rip off.  They are a small company within Constellation Software.  If you want to work for low pay, unpaid overtime and in a toxic environment then apply.

I was promised a lengthy and involved training, however, once hired, my hiring manager was demoted due to layoffs.  Therefore, I was no longer in training and was just starting to jump into the work. The problem was that I was in front of the customer representing the company without the agreed training. Employees in certain areas are overworked due to layoffs. Customers complained that they can never get the company to return calls to answer/resolve problems that held up their production.

new managment every two years, no communication,layers of management. usual day is 10-12 hours , takes forever for management to make a decision. Wonderful people on the team .  open office concept makes it very difficult to get the job done

Crazy management. Worked very hard to build department core competencies. Got no appreciation for hard work during holidays even successful projects and implementation. Unrealistic expectations.

Employees really work hard and are committed to the work and customers.  Leadership team is lacking and very disconnected from what is really going on.  Morale is also at an all time low. Also too many layoffs and management doesn't seem to care about it or their people.

I like what I do and I have the opportunity to complete the task that I am assigned in my own way as long as I do it right. I am my own Boss. There is no micromanagement 

Trapeze is good company to start your career with. It offers you  a lot of learning. Either you Trapeze as fresh grad or as a change agent.

No software development process, no documentation. 
Not enough people for the work load.
Management is not professional and sees only numbers.
A lot of overtime.
