Currently, I am the catering supervisor at Treat Café located at CN Tower. However, to be honest, I do not have relevant work experience on bakery or customer service at the beginning, so I started as a Food service assistant from May, 2017 to Sep, 2017. As a trainee, I learnt to mix and bake ingredients to produce breads, pizza, cinnamon bun and other baked goods. Moreover, I checked products for quality, identified damaged or expired goods and kept record of the detailed inventory to ensure enough supplies. Meanwhile, I also developed great customer service and organizational skills when I tried my best to get access to our customers and learnt to understand their concern or resolve their complaint. 

During the period as catering supervisor from Oct. 2017, not only should I improve multitask skills to meet strict deadlines, but handled work shift for my colleagues and assigned them duties as well. I also need to guarantee quality of food ingredients or prepared food to serve our customers. The extensive extra work is really a challenge for me, however, it is also an opportunity to explore my potential.

The most appealing part of the work comes from our employer's concern and love. It is kind of routine for her to brew coffee and prepare dessert for us without any charge when we get off work, which warms us from the bottom of heart.

Managed and ran coffee shop for 2 years (1.400 sq ft)
Served over 800 customers daily. ( one of the busiest location in GTA)
Managed and overlooked work of 6 full time employees
Reported weekly sales report to Franchisor
Catered to large corporation who were tenants in the 2 connecting buildings.
Supervised the kitchen and  weekly hot lunch menus such as butter chicken, fresh chilli, fresh hot grilled sandwiches, salads ,samosas. In house secret recipes.

This was my first foray in being a business owner/operator, where I used all my skills & experience to make it a successfull endeavor. While working within a franchise framework I was able to expand menu options & increase my customer share & volume. After six years, I was able to build the business to the point where it was sufficiently lucrative to interested buyers.

Had to take transactions, know how to operate debit/credit machines and pass through transactions.
Learned to use work ethics in the organisation.
hardest part of the job was had to start early in morning as food preparation needs to be done in advance

I loved the customers and people i worked with. Hours were nice and flexible to meet my needs as a student with afternoon classes. My employed was warm and friendly and supplied staff with free meals when on duty, or a 50% discount when off duty.

Boss is nice, customers are white collars. Bakers start from 4 am. and cashiers starts from 5 am. in the morning. Nice food and coffee for customers and staff have 50% off.

Ive been learning a lot at this place. The owner is kind and he always try to improve our knowledge. The employees there look happy and satisfied. It is a good place to start a careers in Canada.
