Please read reviews and talk to ex employees before making a move to this company . Checkout Glassdoor, Especially  if you are not just out of school . Management techniques outdated , lack of focus , unhealthy chaos ,zero flexibility Management doesn’t listen  . Management  is trying to change but I don’t think they can ( no education , experience or tools  to do so as most don’t know anything else ) Good  HR though to attract trustful talent through marketing techniques.

No opportunity is fantastic at this company! no processes. Management has no experience managing anything and change their minds daily. If you aren't part of the upper crowd maximum you will survive is 2 years and they will fire you or make your life miserable you have to quit for your own mental sanity.
waste of time - they don't use any valid reporting systems to determine trends or statistics. They make decisions on new product based on what colours management likes etc..
There is MASS TURNAROUND at this company for a reason and they are always hiring for a reason.

Upper management needs training on how to let go and give people empowerment. Micromanagement should be in their catch frase. They will allow favoritism from management to staff and base employees reviews on it. People constantly leave and come just see how many positions are normally available,high turnover, people are let go constantly and that should be your red flag.

Lots of micromanaging, disrespectful and lack of communication with employees. Company allows non-employer personals involved due to relationship with the owner. Turnover rate is very high for such a big company. No stability or security, I would not recommened applying to this company. Many long term employees are there due to relations...

As the title states, Umbra is a great place to learn and connect with talented people but not a great place to stay and grow your career. Employees are often overworked. With low pay, minimal incentives and no opportunities to advance, turn over is high.Take it for what it is, a great opportunity to work for a Canadian company. Absorb some valuable skills and lessons then move on to your next career opportunity.

- People are always wearing multiple hats. 
- Hardly any standard process, directions are always changing. 
- High turn over rate, especially in those departments who work closer with CEO. 
- Not recommend for people who works well in a systemic style, because not only they don't have a system here, they don't like people to create system.
- Unless you are related, most people won't stay for more than 1 year.

Nice work and amazing people.  Unfortunately Umbra suffers from poor management and this results in favouritism and bad communication.  Poor benefits, minuscule performance increases, no cost of living adjustments.  Would not recommend.

Management is awful does not listen nor care for any of your problems. work environment is bad stuck inside with fans that barley cool us down. Break times we are stuck inside a room away from the “permanent employees”. I did not enjoy my time if you can find another job please take it.

Great pay & benefits, but work/life balance poor with high stress and poor management. CEO & VP’s cannot communicate in a concise manner and confuse everyone. Impossible deadlines, constant changes and disrespectful behaviour. Stay away.

Disorganized place to work. Some of the upper management was ok but others to deal with were a nightmare. The structure you had to work with were not the best condiitions. They changed the Citirx and for months there were similar issues and it was never fixed during my time there.
