drive from site to site visiting security guards making sure they were doing there job. i learned how to manage people and teach them the right way to protect a site. management was good i was the leader after a short period of time. co-workers were mostly compliant but there were a few who wanted to do things there own way. hardest part of my job was writing people up for not doing there job. the best part of my job was i had no one above me because i had common sense.

A typical night at this work place consisted of me supervising all crew operations for a team of over 20 employees. I learned professionalism and how to deal with clients. The management were always decent and respectful people. The hardest part of the job was probably working night shift but I was making good money so it didn't matter after a while. I loved everything about this job.

Poor policies. Did not pay extra hour in Fall for daylight saving time. If you quit, the regular pay of $18.25 is reduced to $10 for the final weeks of your employment.
Management follows a chain of command, your concerns are not to head office but site supervisor, who may be the problem.
Head office does not respond to your emails.
Raises are based on training not performance or senority.

A work day was 12 hours long.  My co-workers were fun to work with and we team played.  The hardest part of the job was the first night back on shift after having a week off, but the next night I was back in my routine.  The most enjoyable part of the job was working with other people from other parts of Canada.

Nothing at all comes to mind.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work life was always good...very supportive and family oriented

It was a wonderful way to meet new and amazing people who have become long lasting friends. The company was difficult and unreasonable and had very high expectation of their requirements such as hours worked in a day and length of time spent away from home. They no longer exist.

Very busy office with no shortage of work. Controller was great to work for and was willing to teach anything you wanted to learn. I was able to learn and grow in my position and was appreciated for my hard work with thanks and raises. If the company had not closed I would be happy to still be employed there.

I think security should not be contracted out, especially for airports because, security then becomes 'customer service' and about what the customer wants, therefore, security has nothing to do with it.

One of the best company I work for salary was great 
Company was awesome, company picnic , take your kids to work week, 100% paid benefits , company fitness week

My position was posted in Fort Mcmurray, I the PTI Camps. I dealt with angry camp workers and angry iron workers etc..
It was a Dry Camp, no alcohol no drugs.
It was a very busy 3 weeks in and 1 week out.
