This was by far the most stressful job I’ve ever worked. The management is terrible at managing the place and loves to point fingers at the production staff when things go wrong, instead of addressing issues with the machines when they are down and causing low production rates.

They overwork employees on the production floor, making them lift glass over 70 lbs by themselves for just $17.46—barely above minimum wage. Most people who have been here for two years still don’t make $20 an hour, which is unacceptable for the workload.

On top of that, they deduct points if you use your sick pay, even though it’s provided by the government. If you value your mental health, don’t work here. The environment is toxic, and management doesn’t care about their employees.

A low point in my professional life. I was somewhat excited when first hired; management does a good job of using all the latest buzzwords to portray the organization as progressive and healthy. 

The reality is much different. The company is run as a corrupt dictatorship. Dissenting opinions, regardless of how well founded, are quickly stifled by an entrenched management class. Impossible and unethical tasks are assigned. When these tasks fail (as the owner was told they would), the person assigned the impossible is blamed. It is a toxic and unwinnable situation. 

If you are desperate for a job, they will hire anyone. But have an escape plan in place. 

I don't understand what the bad reviews about this company are about. In my experience the job for the most part is what you make of it. So if your good at your job, show up on time, do your job when your getting paid for it, apply yourself, give respect, have a positive attidude, and have patience for progress this is a great and fair company to work for. I have been in my career for over 2 decades now and this is by far one of the better companies I have work for. Be it that every individual will have there own experience good or bad. I would recommend Vitrum to anyone I know friend or family. 

Very bad working experience at this company. You can pretty much do nothing and nobody notices. But for the most part, it is dangerous and other employees don't really know thier job. Its likely the most chaotic workplace I have ever seen. Not really sure how the place makes any money as more windows are screwed up than are done right. Even a lot of the damaged windows are still shipped out to customers and then they blame the customer for the problems. No ethics at Vitrum

Stressful part about working at the company. During end of the month that you require to finished you unit and to be shipped at exact date  as per requested by the customer

It's equal no matter what / culture do you had, no racism  for individual

Friday which is not schedule or time for you salary

I was there for one week and quit

The supervisors don't want to show you anything. They just want you to do clean up and they were concerned because I had more qualifications than them so they did not want to show me anything other than clean up.

They just speak in philipino and dont care if you are not from the Philippines. 

If you are on a study permit its OK as you have to do whatever you need.

I can't believe that a permanent resident or a citizen would ever work there.

Pretty bad experience. Management is either inept or just ignorant of what is going on daily. Very very dangerous. Pressure to not report accidents when they happen. The machinery is not maintained and there is essentially no training in any department. Vitrum does not attract very competent employees in any department. Pay is very low by industry standards regardless of department.

Is not rotating shift work you keep your shift

Pay is low and Union is not good

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everyone is a rat ready to throw you under the bus

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day is unreasonable expectations and not enough people to do a good job. Ungrateful

Other millwrights and electricians are a pleasure to work with but upper management and the owner don’t really care about their employees. Unsafe workplace. lack of training for production and maintenance helpers is at a very low standard making basic maintenance difficult. 

My time in vitrum is not necessarily bad as I worked with amazing people. The work culture though can be quite toxic especially as some people in the company has more favour from others. Often times if a person does not like you they will give "I will tell the CEO" threat. Which often times never happen.
