In the beginning it was a positive experience. Management was fair and approachable. However as time went by it became obvious that their processes and systems had very little thought put into them. They actually work against you being able to do your job accurately and efficiently.

I’ve worked in a number of warehouses and all of them used some form of computerized system to manage their inventory. What does this place use? Ping Pong balls with handwritten numbers on them! For a company that’s been in business for 35 years this is not just analog, it’s downright prehistoric! Needless to say they had a lot of problems with their inventory. 

Training was woefully inadequate. I got a total of 2 hours of training by a fellow employee on high reach fork and then I was left on my own for the rest of the week to figure things out  and ask questions. They have no dedicated trainers and are usually short staffed. 

The pay is barely acceptable. Unless you live 10 minutes away or less you’ll be spending too much on gas to make the job worthwhile. I travelled from Brantford and I spent $50 per week on gas.  After deducting the price of fuel from my take home pay I ended up making around $17 an hour. Not worth it! They’re constantly hiring and have a robust turnover. But they’re opening a third plant when they can’t even keep their current plants adequately staffed! 

When they ended my contract I wasn’t upset, I was relieved! I never planned to stay long term, just maybe a year. But as time went by I became more and more frustrated with the place and the job and I wanted to leave sooner. So thanks Vuteq, you did me a favour! 

VTCA policies are very poor and lack flexibility. Policies seem to change at any time to suit management.

The behavior of leadership toward junior employees and new joiners is disappointing. They are treated more like school students than working adults. The strict dress code is another example of this mindset. If your clothing does not exactly match what is prescribed, you may be asked to leave the office and change, which feels unnecessary and disrespectful.

Employee exits are extremely frequent, with people leaving and new hires joining almost every day. During my few months at the company, there were  more than 10 employees leave, which clearly reflects dissatisfaction in the workplace.

Despite being called a “Tech Centre,” the work environment feels more like a production plant. Employees are required to wear safety boots inside the office at all times, which strengthens this impression rather than creating a modern workplace.

Overall, the environment lacks trust, maturity, and fair treatment. I would not recommend this company to someone looking for a flexible and healthy work culture.

I was treated unfairly compared to any other employee and it seemed like the people who didn't really want to work got promoted to a better position (which led them to power trip) I hurt myself on the job and tried to fill an incident report but when i went to my leader they said to me they did not want to fill out the papers because it's too much to do. Not only that, if you miss ONE DAY WITH A DOCTOR'S NOTE it doesn't matter and you will still be let go it seems. 
Vuteq Canada as a WHOLE is really not a bad work environment, WOODSTOCK VUTEQ is NOT an ideal place at all to work. As I mentioned before, they have poor communication between upper management and the employees and, they claim to be "family friendly" they are not. The overtime there is ridiculous and you most likely cannot refuse the overtime. The contract may say the work week is 40 hours but there will be times where upper management will wait until the very end of your shift to let you know that you are staying an extra 3-4 hours mandatory.  
It's your choice, but that is my two cents worth to add to the reviews.

For starters, they don't pay you enough. Most manufacturers give out a 2-4 an hour premium for midnight shift, afternoons etc.

You're going to make maximum 23.50 an hour here, which is barely a livable wage.

Management doesn't listen. There are plenty of safety concerns that don't get addressed, and many more issues that simply are ignored or looked over. You'll hear, "that's vuteq for you!" before you'll ever hear, " that's a good point, lets fix that."

No job security. If you get hurt on the job, they will find a way to replace you. They are notorious for firing people before their contract is renewed so they can move onto the next one.

Turn over is huge because the company doesn't care about you. No bonuses, and minimal raises. They find a way to take away your bonuses. Mandatory overtime will destroy your family life, and you'll pay more in taxes than you'll receive.

If you're looking for a manufacturing job, go to Boshuko or TMMC. Norther American stamping pays more for less work, for example.

If you really need a job, they will give you a job. But don't expect much else from this place.

IIf you have a University engineering degree, please do not work here.  Management is uneducated, culture is toxic and prioritizes assigning blame to others and self preservation rather than the success of the group as a whole.  There is no P.eng in the building to validate your EIT hours.  Engineering group is lead by people without engineering degrees who will talk down to you because of their seniority, while simultaneously being unable to perform any complex analysis at anything above an extremely remedial level. Goodluck taking advantage of your education here because they have no actual need for engineering degrees.  Jobs are better suited to college grads so why are they hiring overqualified people, to lowball them and waste their time?  Also enjoy working with the people in maintenance, extremely arrogant and yet incompetent.

A typical day at work on either day or afternoon shift was relatively easy going, we kept to tact time and followed our standardized work charts to complete our assigned jobs in a manner that ensured quality and safety. 
I learned many hands on skills that would prove to be very useful in completing tasks in fast paced environment while ensuring all requirements were met and or exceeded
Management treated you with respect and cared about you well being, safety and health as a worker
It was like working with one giant family
The hardest part of the job was maintaining a six day work week and a social life, as well as becoming accustomed to actually working within tact time
The most enjoyable part of the job was the people I worked with who always made the day go by faster and the being able to come together as a group in order to produce a product we had all had a part in creating

I get to work in the morning when on days at 6am, we have a team meeting then we start our day. We look at the board to find out where we are for the first two hours of our day. Today I started by doing the rear armrest alignment. We do that for two hours then we have a break. After break we go to our second position and for me that was spraying the rear armrests. We do two hour rotations as it is very hard to do one position for a full day, which is 10 hours. The hardest part about this job is how fast paced it is. I have only been there going on my fourth week and finally being able to do the whole job by myself. It is definitely a lot to take in and learn. The most enjoyable part of working there are the coworkers, they make everything better, such happy moods and always willing to help you out if you need the help.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is absolutely nothing good at this company, the place is run like a prison cameras everywhere, more micro managers then actual production workers. Terrible place avoid at all costs

Every little thing is micro managed, you are watched 24/7 on their cameras worse then prison.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Drama, and talking behind peoples backs everywhere. The golden girls meaning the old folk report every little issue to make themselves look better in managements eyes.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Most of the day you are wondering who is talking ahot about you behind your back, cannot trust anybody at this toxic employer.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Co workers,  constant work and overtime.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Incompetent and discriminatory leaders.  Put seniority before skill in roles that require HIGH SKILL, causing power trips and over confident prudes to run the work place. Head office is so far up their own butts they have no idea how employees are actually getting treated and believe a leader over 20 workers.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Super toxic and makes you want to bang your head off a wall

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go in and do the same job over and over. Don't expect to get rotated like regular factories. Nah these guys like to do it their own way.

If you're gonna work here have fun, right from the getgo my supervisors didn't like me, actively went out of their way to screw me over by not properly training then throwing me onto a random machine having 1 minute to learn what to do, if a machine goes down everyone starts tweaking out genuinely unprofessional, toxic environment. If you want to get up to leadership/management the only requirement is to have room temperature level IQ. Vuteq is half high school, half nursing home, have fun having your soul drained out.
