What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing, all nursing jobs in Winnipeg are the same just pick your poison. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
the working part... but also any healthcare job is stressful especially in Manitoba due to staffing issues and mandation to work 16 hour shifts. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is a culture of cliques, if you don't have a clique that's okay but you will feel left out sometimes. Have a strong foundation at home and you'll be set and won't take not being invited to things as personally. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
overall, nurses are overworked, patients are sicker and require more and more extensive and specialized care  that nurses are expected to shoulder for a large part. There are limited supports to assist nurses with heavy workloads and often takes a lot of pushback from the team in order to be heard and be provided with heavy workload staffing.

Too many scheduling clerks to report to, you will be blamed for their mistakes.  Even though you have to carry out your own job very independently.  You will get extra clients added to your daily schedule as a lot of workers quit or are sick.  You must be willing to pitch in and help out.   You should be pysically fit mentally and physically to do the job well.  You should have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Chill workplace for a broke student, to help pay some bills and experience new things that usually isn't related in anyway to your main field of studies.

Working for The WRHA  was a good experience Hard work fast paced and a good team to work with.  Inside outside work building Maintenance. You have lots of people to answer too. Long hard days. Out dated infor structure. Covid protocols were in place hot environment. HVAC didn't work properly. Alot of staff complaints daily about the building.

Currently working here as temp agency staff. The manager usually refuses to give the regulars days off and refuses to hire more people. I've seen 3 admins leave within this year bc of how unreasonable the workload is. 

When the office is understaffed you are expected to carry the vacant case load at your own expense. missed many lunches as well as stayed late countless times and yet not a single thank you. You are lucky if the clients even appreciate your hard work as most people expect homecare to be 100% guaranteed yet staffing is over a 40% vacancy rate across Winnipeg 

Productive workplace with constant arm and hand movement, on-call, 7am text for 3pm-9:20pm shift. 

The work is simple and easy, given you're capable of repetitive movements.
The worst aspect of the job is the 7am text, which I personally have difficulty with after working the evening. 

Shared health had tons of benefits for us casual Covid-19 workers. The only issue was that you are placed at a site that isn’t being overseen by shared health, thus you have no idea who to go to for complaints within the job. Enjoyed my experience despite this, and learned a lot. 

frequent staff replacement, no perks, little personal support, low wages, no room for advancement, no budget for special events, inequity in wages, little managerial support.

The initial training is great. You have work-life balance. Not too much stress compared to the private sector in the same field. Opportunities to learn and grow.
