During the interview I specifically asked whether or not they have a history of lay offs or if things ever get "slow". I also asked if they try and find other jobs for the crew. I was told they never do lay offs and if necessary they will always find a job to do. After 10 days I got laid off over the phone with no notice and no further information and when I tried to contact them back they rarely answered or on the off chance that they did answer they very clearly didn't want to speak with me. So yeah, if you wanna work at Williams and White in Burnaby keep that in mind. Great pay though, just ask for a lot when you get interviewed just so you can get as much money as possible before they inevitably get rid of you.

I got terminated just 2 weeks after joining! I was not at fault for anything or for my performance, it was the management was unfair. Many employees were terminated on the same day for no reason!

Just on the 4th day of work, I was called to be told that they are going to terminate me without me doing anything wrong.

This company seriously needs to work on its ethics and respect the employees who work for them. Please be fair to your employees and have integrity when you hire people.

I honestly regret accepting their offer to apply for this job and will not recommend anyone else to do so!

Williams and White has two operations Equipment and Manufacturing. The equipment company is a technology company that sells equipment around the world. The manufacturing company machines and fabricates components that are used in everything from Aerospace to construction.
The company has 2 management teams that are involved in a day to day activities. The owners of the company are also involved and are very passionate about their work. WW is a family company that cares about the employee experience

The training experience was very beneficial as the managers decided to have me learn Project management, production management, machining, and assembling for my role of Business Development. This allowed me to truly understand my role better than just being shoved into my role.

This practice would greatly benefit any new employee and should be a common practice among other work fields. 

 The company has given me a work life balance and an understanding of the importance of a healthy equilibrium between professional and personal life. The flexibility provided has allowed me to manage my responsibilities effectively, leading to increased job satisfaction and productivity. I appreciate the mentorship I received at WW that made me more confident and appreciated.  

Williams and White is a fast-paced work environment with a constant flow of diverse and interesting projects. The team spirit among colleagues creates a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. The prospect for personal and professional growth adds to the appeal making it an awesome workplace.

incompetent and dishonest management team (especially the CEO), likes to have yes men around them, to be able to listen to the sound of their own voice.

Antiquate equipment, abusive of the salaried people hours of work, lack of honesty to customers and rules of regulation especially regarding safety.

Fast paced and productive work environment, where you are constantly learning due to the wide variety of work that comes through the shop. Management always encourage new ideas and further learning. Friday social is always a great way to end the week!!
