Although the company has it's ups and downs, it still had a long way to go, especially management. The only good side about my experience with Wincon is the site supervisors, directors, and some colleagues. The negative aspect is that management has constantly shafted me to multiple sites during early spring of 2018 and having to memorize so many post orders does not really match the pay rate I have agreed on. The final straw was when they moved me to a strip mall site for 3 days a week which was 5 hours a shift (note: I was working full time around that time). That's 31 hours a week! When I asked management why I received this schedule, the manager responded, "it would be favorable to assign a trained guard than putting in a new hire". Although it practically makes sense, it also implies that a newly recruited guard has more hours than me, an experienced one. After switching to part time due to school, they had me continue work there for 4 shifts. That's only 20 hours in total. The hours are unsatisfactory, and I was no longer satisfied with my schedule as the hours were terribly short. I do not blame or criticize HR, the Operations Coordinator, nor the scheduling department. They're just doing their job and it's totally understandable. They're really helpful, accommodating, and flexible if you are willing to get the job done. Hope managers in the future understands logic when it comes to assigning staff and recruiting international students. Also, company emails sent to site emails could use some grammar check. I’m really glad my closest colleagues have left the company and have found better employment elsewhere.

I had an unfortunate experience working with this company. Despite completing my probation period, I was terminated without cause, and the reason given “congregation” felt unsubstantiated and unprofessional.

The workplace lacked basic amenities, such as a breakroom and even water on site, which made the working environment less than ideal. Additionally, there was no warning or notice prior to termination, which showed a lack of respect for employees’ contributions and time.

I hope the management considers making improvements to provide a better work environment and treat employees more fairly in the future.



Started a new position with the company for which I had minimal experience. Enjoy the experience as it allowed me to interact with past co-workers and management. I had contact with co-workers in the office, but minimal contact with field staff.

The hardest part of the job was obtain contracts from past co-worker/owners, they had encountered some past bad service and was very skeptical about signing up. The companies had no problem signing up with me, just the company I was working for. I believed in the company I was working for, so signing them up became easy.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the people it allowed me to meet. Some of the contacts were valuable assets. Being on the road at time was a comforting part of the job, as it gave me time to think and clear my mind. I was able to put my thoughts into action. 

I'm with Wincon for past 2 years. I'm thankful to them for giving me an opportunity to start my work journey with them and its also a great company to start your experience with. Personally, I have seen growth in myself by working with the company. I have noticed changes in myself in terms of communication,  interpersonal, professionalism and security related skills which is all due to the opportunity provided to me by Wincon Management. Management is always helpful and listens to site concerns with providing solutions as well.

The scheduling department is also helpful with providing me part time and full time schedules as requested.

Overall, a great company to work with to sharpen your skills.

When I worked for wincon security a few years ago, whoever was in charge with the scheduling was very disorganized.  On a couple of occasions, they made me go to a site twice, only to find out once I arrived at the site they wanted me to work at, I WAS NOT scheduled to work! All that has wasted for what? 

When they put me to a site that I never worked at, all new to me, they actually scheduled me with someone, who ACTUALLY SLEPT for 50 % of his shift. 

No matter what company you work for, you must set good examples for those around you.  I didn't  witness  this, but one guard said he saw a supervisor  sleeping while on duty.

I was employed as a Mobile Security Guard. There was a lot of driving around the city involved in this position. I enjoyed working as a Mobile Concierge at one location. Part of my duties included issuing parking tickets at strip malls and residential locations. The managers and my co-workers were great to work with. I learned some communications skills in dealing with residents. I really enjoyed being a Mobile Security Guard, driving around to the various locations.

Wincon is really a nice company to work with and management is very helpful and supportive. Everyone in the company knows why they are there and very professional. It is best place to jump in to get a nice experience. If you are one of the guards that are actually there to work and get experience, this is perfect company. Your personal growth is what matters and Wincon provides the best resources for that. 
I am very happy to be a part of the company and very thankful for the opportunity. Hoping to achieve greater heights and more success together.

Many times you are placed in high-risk locations that are prone to theft and the individuals there are very aggressive so it's important to always remain calm and following proper procedures when confronting offenders. Keep in mind that you will be working alone undercover as a loss prevention agent so it's very important to always use good judgement and base those judgements off of hard evidence

I was looking for a company that was employee friendly and not just interested in their company. Well I found it and more.
Management, office staff, Scheduling, Support staff, Supervisors and guards are of excellent quality, helpful, respectful and care about you.
My intention was to stay a year and move on but I became very happy and am approaching 10 years with Wincon.

Looking for a great place to work, grow and develop not only in Security but also personally, look no further.  You will be glad you did.

You get ei benefits if you work enough hours like 900 minimum.  The hours all depends on the site but can be flexible if you got school or family. They very patient with you if you make mistakes, you can get a break only thing, it goes against your records and you can get judged accordingly so try to do your best  not to leave the site unless you let someone know otherwise it's bad.
