I've had the privilege of working at Windsor Ford for a few years now.  Working at the old location was a great experience and I felt right at home with the family atmosphere that was often felt amongst a lot of the staff members.  

Since April we've moved into the new location and while we still have the same family atmosphere things have changed a lot from a work prespective.  Working in the service area in our new location is absolutely amazing, at first it felt a little overwhelming with the sheer size of the facility but now that most of our mechanics are comfortable with everything that's new things have been fantastic in the service department.

We get (arguably) the best service facility in Western Canada (it certainly has to be the biggest) and a lot of little things technology wise that make our job more efficient, funner and interesting to say the least.

Work and personal life is a nice balance with the 4 on 4 off shift.  Working a Monday and Friday is great but I prefer this shift as those 4 days off provide a better opportunity for family or travel without taking as many days off.

All in all I love working at Windsor Ford and if they'll have me I hope to continue to work there for a long time!

Inherited and operated by three brothers with no real world work experience.  Employee turnover is high, partly because of their condescending silver spoon nature, and their reluctance to compensate workers fairly.

No raises, or encouragement, no matter how many goals you hit and exceed, or how long you have been there. Anytime a raise was given, it was because the employee threatened to quit.

Bonuses are a joke, and not based on performance, or profits.  You receive $100 minus deductions at the end of each year.

Gossip runs rampant destroying morale, and management encourages it by playing favorites.  Expect to be belittled.  Very unprofessional work environment.

Windsor Ford is a great company to work for in almost every experience through an inspired and empowered team!

As one of the premier and largest dealers and buildings in Northern Alberta it's always a challenge keeping up with what's going on at the dealership but staff and management work hard to keep everyone informed and provide you a good enough work and life balance!

Times are changing a lot at the new location with all the new technology in sales, service and parts and while it can be a little complex for an older person such as myself it is providing a challenging but more efficient work environment!

The best place I've ever worked! Management, co-workers and team atmosphere are all great. The pay is also very good for an entry level position - plus there's rapport between advisors/techs which makes it even better than most other jobs out there today
A little about me: In 2020 when this job came around town looking like something worth applying to ,I jumped on board without hesitation because who doesn't want more time with their family? What made things so much easier though was how much excitement could be found throughout the dealership

I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a role in the automotive industry. I got great experience and learned skills that have helped shape my professional career today, which is why I am so thankful because it has allowed me to continue on as a successful person with incredible potential. The work culture here really encourages leadership development and everyone who works there are very fair people - even management!

They call it a family dealership for a reason, employees here (especially ones who want to work) are treated like family! Definitely a fun  environment with plenty of opportunities for advancement within the company. It's a great place as a technician with tons of space and all the latest advancements in equipment. Above all that though is the work balance they provide for time off and personal time, makes life a little bit easier.

Management is very bad, do not recommend working here, you are paid very low wages, does NOT address issues of work place harassment. Some of managers are amazing but there’s very few, there’s no room to advance, there’s no room for a raise, there’s no room to move up, you have to keep your head down, not say anything or else you’re a gold fish in a shark tank. They do not like ANYONE who won’t accept being walked on. yelled at. sworn at. put down. 

I was a bit nervous when I interviewed for this job at the tail end of 2020, but it turns out to be one of my favorite places that I have ever worked. From management down to technicians, we all get along great and help each other on our projects as needed. Not only are there good pay and benefits here; you also feel like part of an extended family with just about everyone going above and beyond their duties in order to make sure your needs are met too!

Parts manager does not actually manage personnel and has no power to change things. Owners of company make huge profit but overall pays bottom wages and hopes for top people. Dental benefits are good but most others are on the lower end, especially vision. Computer systems are disjointed; you must use at least 4 different systems to locate many parts. Difficult or disruptive personnel are not dealt with appropriately. 

Managers and work is toxic, you are not given the support you need to succeed it is sink or swim. treat their customers amazing but employees like dirt. everyone is two faced dont work here expecting to make friends. most enjoyable part of job is the customers the hardest part of the job is being constantly shot down and being made to feel like dirt under the rug. not the same company they used to be
