What is the best part of working at the company?
Steady night shift . If you work productivity and miss break can get home one hour earlier.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is multiple fans but can get hot if not near one. No air conditioning but in winter months fine. Can drink water but must be left in designated area.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There are stacks of bundles that must be stacked in a certain way and you are bending and twisting a lot. Must be fit to work this job . Lifting 30 pound stacks and feeding them into machine. Hopper feeder in various parts down the assembly line . You are rotating daily.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clock in feed your machine and help others when finished. Move to various areas and clock out .

My job as an Account Co-ordinator at the Windsor Star provided new challenges every day. In a typical day, I worked with a group of Advertising Sales Representatives and their clients, fulfilling  both their needs in terms of ad order entry, ad layout and proofing and conflict resolution. Each day I worked closely with other Account Co-ordinators and sales reps and also with management. If i was challenged by a difficult client, management was always ready to help out. At the end of the day, it was fulfilling to me to see that clients were happy with their ads and that my work was completed on time, in an efficient manner

A good small job. Got to know and interact more with my neighborhood. Only con is that you have to use a lot of physical strength and the pay at times is not worth all the effort you put in. had to give out newspaper in a snowstorm that day and still got my average pay. Could have died and didn't get extra money. Weather conditions make it hard at times.

we are on a time line to get paper out for the morning. learned how to work in a fast paced environment> the hardest part of job is not know exactly when we will get to leave if press breaks down. most enjoyable part of the the job is that the crew we currently have makes  the new people feel welcome and helps and offers them ways to make the job easier.

-Wake up at around 5 a.m.
-Go to the designated location to retrieve the paper
-Tie the papers up and put them into waterproof bags in case of rain
-Deliver to around 25 houses
-Finish around 7:30 a.m.
-Repeat every week except Sundays.

Windsor Star has given me an excellent job for over a decade. They have an great work atmosphere and I actually like going to work. Due to a growing family, however, I have decided to search for supplement hours elsewhere. I would love to keep my position here and find a second position to allow the high costs of living.

Working as a hopper feeder you are guaranteed 4 hours a shift. You usually get 3-5 shifts a week. You can work up to 5 or 6 hours a shift. The pay and benefits are very good. The staff is very friendly and a very close group of people. I love my job.

Working as an independent contractor for the Windsor Star has its ups and downs none of which have to do with any part of the company. Certain customers and weather conditions are the only fault in this Monday to Saturday job.

A typical day at work would be to go in and set all the employees up to what sites that they would be going to and what times then I would start billings and answer phones at the end of the day I would track all the employees hours and millage.

I basically just assembled and delivered weekly flyer to about 100-200 houses. I was never in contact with my supervisor/manager. The hardest part of my job was delivering my flyers on time. The most enjoyable was the the flexibility of hours
