What is the best part of working at the company?
They used to be a great Canadian company. Unfortunately they are no longer the same company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Communication was poor from top to bottom. The expectations were high but unfortunately they did not have the ability to support the expectations. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It seemed good at first but then it didn’t live up to what I thought they were. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I worked remotely so most of my communication was via phone and computer.

Very enthusiastic and busy environment. Working in R&D is the dream job, if you can accept a lower than average wage. Managers are kind, but a bit old fashioned. I developed a lot of confidence in my skills as I was free to learn and grow. The hardest part of the job was having to work in the dusty environment of the lab. I enjoyed working with my co-workers as they were quite encouraging and friendly. In all a great experience for a beginner to the industry. Job security comes standard with a full-time position.

Would never work for this company again. They hired during the busy months and when they built up a good inventory and said good by to many of the workers. I worked for this company off and on for 4 years hoping that there would be a change but I was wrong. Be careful because you are expendable because there is someone who is always willing to take your job. This is only a temp job!

Probably the worst company to work for. Finance team is the most overworked team due to its bad management. The two managers are bullish and micromanaging all the time. They ridicule, irritate and spy on you all the time and keep getting on the nerves. 6 people have left the same role in 1.5years says a lot about the toxicity of these so called finance managers. Avoid at all costs 

Exceptional quality over quantity values. Great work environment, main focuses of team-leaders are to ensure their employees are surronded by a positive attitude. Hardest part of job is the physical contribution, whereas the most enjoyable aspect is the demenor of the senior coworkers. Always willing to lend a helping hand and further explain your job to get a better understanding.

Too much favoritism from Customer service Tls.

For you to grow you have to be a favorite if not you will be stuck. And as usual, you tell HR and they sided with the Tls.


Also the Tls change process every week. And when you follow a process they overturn it (wasted time on a process for nothing). Very unorganized company.


Good place to work if you do your job and can understand basic instructions.
Managment needs some work no one had any solid idea what to do when a problem arouse. Alot of down time due to management not being able to plan a schedule properly while colaborating with other departments.
Benefits are nice and the employee appreciation activities are a huge bonus.

Wolf Steel is an ok employer.  They typically pay lowwer than average - relying on the "We are not in Toronto" attitude. Employee turnover is fairly high in the administration areas.  Often a transition job for many until they find a better opportunity.

Develop all training materials for in class training to contractors, distributors and sale staff.

Develop training simulators for use in all training sessions all around North America. 

Traveled 70 - 80% of the time.

Depending on who you are, there's either lots to do with plenty of opportunity, or it's a place with no structure. Either way, you'll find a family type of culture with a company that's been a Canadian staple, still privately owned, for around 50 years.
