A typical day starts with the meeting with process manager to discuss about the modification of current manufaturing processes and about the status on ongoing projects. In addition, we explore vairous ways to design processes for new products and packaging standards.

Learned tool and fixture designs, APQP process,basic  troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, the trend of pressure and temperature of steam and cold water affect the products, how to handle the process and manufacturing department in the absence of the manager and supervisor, and what  the different automotive companies' requirements are.

Management is always eager to help and push me to achieve my goals. I have given freedom to scheduale and run manufactuing trials for new products. 

All the co-workers are very friendly and willing to guide me in right direction. 

The hardest part of the job was to deal with machine operators and packers in the absence of the manager and supervisor. but eventually I learned the way to work with them and fulfilled the requirements.

The most enjoyable part of the job was to run the manufacturing lines during lunch time, came up with different ideas to make the lives of operators and packers easy, and reduced cycle time and scrap.

I have working in 4 manufacturing plants in Ontario, I belief this was the worst experience. The reason being the managers consider themselves as administrators without the quality of leadership and  informed supervision. This creates a very toxic environment for the workers I can share the details but it will be a long essay. 

I immigrated from a developing country and people back home indebted my country due to lack of responsibility, corruption and favorism.  I belief this company workspace culture is very close to backhome and soon if we have more companies like this Canada it will be a developing country. 

I stood up against this culture and informed my concerns to their higher management while resigning. I had to do this because I felt its my obligation as an immigrant to change what I was not able to do in my country of origin. I hope they will take action. 

My message to this company if you see my review, you may get small benefit in short run by favoritism and type X management style but you will damage your future  if you keep operating like this. 

I worked for Woodbridge for 10 years, and over that time became bitter and resentful of life, due to the overwhelming stress and toxicity of the workplace. Everyone was treated poorly by management and during that time our factory changed managers three times, one of those being fired and one let go under mysterious circumstances.

Human resources was the worst part, and would often use things discussed in confidence against the individual or others.

For the amount of pressure and stress put on the individual we were not paid adequately, and only after years of negotiating did we get the most basic of health care coverage. Considering the level of danger the chemicals we worked with provided (isocyinates, TDI, MDI), we not only should have been paid more due to the hazards but also better health coverage as the chemicals were carcinogenic. Working mandatory 6 day weeks for 47 of 52 weeks in a year also wore on everyone. 

I would not recommend working for this company to anyone. 

In Blenheim, the pace they expect you to learn at and maintain is not reflected adequately in your wage. Shifts are 8hrs but they seem like 8 months, supervisors and management have ridiculous expectations of the workers. You're paid JUST above minimum wage and run around that place like you're training for a marathon. The toll that the work takes on your hands due the work required of you isn't worth the aggravation. There's no room for advancement there and no one there will help you if you're struggling to keep up. Backstabbing and relentless trashtalking of fellow workers is rampant. The entire place is disgustingly toxic. Avoid it all cost.

Getting along with the Union was a never ending battle, having workers cooperate and make things move forward was quickly destroyed by unorthodox union chair. Union execs were very vocal about who ran the ship and how they were ultimately in control.
Scheduling doesn't understand the term "Preventative Maintenance" so it was usually run to fail. 
Unrealistic budgets with out logic no money for parts buts ton's of money contractors? 
Utilise internal labour to reduce contractors to increase budget-"Not allowed" follow the budget!!!
I got a lawyer

A typical day at Woodbridge would start at 630am reviewing the previous days production, current inventory levels, looking at any health and safety related issues, and production planning. A good portion of my day was spent on the floor talking with the team members looking at ways to improve the process and listening to their concerns of the product or the jobs and tasks they were asked to do.

The management team were very close and supported each other very well, always welling to help a area of the plant that was struggling.

Management pushes constantly to do more and go faster. Everyday they add to our work load and only making things more difficult. Pushing ourselves, developing chronic injuries, eg: carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, shoulder injuries. Line workers are treated like dirt. HR doesn't care about their employees. No one collaborates. No one seems to know what's going on.  Everyone gives you a different answer that they expect you to follow. Quality department fixes nothing, so you are constantly dealing with garbage from Mexico. Frustrating to the point, you will try to find an excuse everyday to call in sick.

Toxic environment where is OK for the director to humiliate, yells and threat managers in the shop floor, HR director and manager protect or ignore this behavior that breach "safe work place Policy"
Incompetent leadership from USA-  lack of strategy in the plant and blames "Canadian Culture"  for the bad results generated for the poor project management.
Plant Manager scared to say something again a director.
Boys club that protect and cover their meritocracy as they only know this company.
Great people in the floor to work with, willing to move the factory forward.
great vision from the owners to innovate.

Woodbridge is a great company to work. I was employed for 6 years and l left only because l was in a car accident and couldn't return because of the bending which would aggregate my back. Otherwise my intention was to continue working there until retirement 

$14.70 day shift with $0.40 premium for afternoon and $0.80 for midnight. When applying on here, job posting stated $15.50 to start, with $2.00 premium for midnight shift. Lots of confusion and false info from the beginning of the hiring process. The expected speed to do certain jobs is just unrealistic for the pay wage. The amount of stress placed on your neck, back, shoulders, and legs is just silly for the salary. 1 year of employment starting Jan 1 before you can get vacation days - expectation of no sick days/call ins. Just not a great place to work. You will physically destroy yourself for chump change
