Yard Work

-A typical day at work included working with a wide range of tasks;for example: painting a deck or dog sitting overnight.

-I learned many important skills from these job experiences, some skills include (but not limited too) strong work ethic, basic housework and cleaning skills, how to properly take care and manage pet dogs, etc.

-Management was typically the house/land owner.

-The workplace culture was laid back, since it was typically people I am very familiar with.

-The hardest part of the job was the strong amount of manual labor required for the outside yard work jobs.

-The most enjoyable part of the job was the feeling of accomplishment of a job well done.

I started to work for myself and this was my first job doing so. I locked up the deal with the customer and was doing maintenance work for her consistently. I was getting paid very well and honestly enjoyed every second of it. It was physically challenging, so i felt like i had earned the money at the end of the day. I also learned to manage my money at a young age, and still carry that knowledge with me to this day. I am very proud of myself looking back, and wouldn't have changed a thing. Except to wear some more sunscreen  on those sunny days!

A typical day at work required general house & yard work labour completing tasks such as: 

- sweeping/washing floors, washing dishes, cleaning/disinfecting counter tops, bathrooms etc. 
- cleaning eaves-trough, pulling weeds, cutting grass, washing windows. 
-  any repairs around the house (ex. broken doors, clogged drains, toilet) 
- washing/ cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles.
- bathed, babysat & walked three large dogs. 

I worked alone, enjoyed completing multiple tasks in one day and I didn't find the job overall difficult to complete.

It was at my pace, and my time so I liked that. It was nice to be able to give back to my community and get to know the neighbors. It taught me a lot of responsibility and how to have an eye for details. I think the hardest part would have to be, just simply getting tired and having to keep pushing through.

I got a dollar a day for doing work around the house for 365 days a year. I worked all seasons and I learned a lot from it.I mowed the lawn, raked the leaves, shoveled the driveway and did all of the garbage stuff.

yard work was a fun and good experience. I worked in and outside of peoples homes mainly on lawn mowing, raking leaves and in home cleaning. all in all I had a good time learning how to interact and communicate with clients as well as potential customers.

I would spend the day going from site to site, making sure the customer is satisfied with the work being done. I like working with my hands and using new tools to complete a job to the best of my ability. Learning proper lawn care and passing that information along was also crucial.

It's not an actual company it's just a couple people that I work for. They will call me to come over and do extra stuff like take out the garbage or help fix their phone. I usually just have to water the flowers very night and mow the grass twice a week.

In a day I would mow lawns, weed gardens, rake and pick up garbage. I learned there is no I in team. The culture was a lovely environment to be in with a wonderful bunch of guys. I enjoyed being outside and working in the sun.

Doing yard work was really fun,There were hard days but I got through it and never gave up the work that had to be done. I got everything done in time,and everything  done well.
