Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round for a tale of corporate misadventure that would put any sitcom to shame. If you're looking for a place that embodies the phrase "one star experience," look no further than Zedcor. It's like a comedy of errors where the punchline is, unfortunately, your career. 

Let's start with the stars of the show: the management team. Inept is an understatement here. They're so lost, you'd think they were navigating a corn maze blindfolded while juggling flaming swords. It's a wonder how they even found their way to their office each day. The only redeeming quality? The executives seem to be from a different show entirely, but alas, their appearances are as rare as a unicorn sighting. 

Now, let's meet our supporting cast - your colleagues. They're overworked, underpaid, and underappreciated, which sounds more like a job description for a medieval serf than a modem-day professional. It's like watching a marathon where everyone's running on empty and the finish line keeps moving farther away. Management doesn't seem to notice, probably because they're too busy trying to figure out how to use the office coffee machine.

And oh, the communication! Or should I say, the lack thereof? It's like watching a silent movie from the early 1900s, only without the charming piano music in the background. Departments communicate about as often as a mime in a soundproof booth - which is to say, not at all.

Remember those raises you heard about during your initial interview? Well, they're about as elusive as Bigfoot riding that unicorn. They've stopped coming, leaving everyone feeling like they've been duped in the world's worst magic trick. Increased work and stagnant wages are a winning combination that makes you want to update your resume faster than you can say "Abracadabra!" 

The hours at Zedcor? Exhausting, to say the least. It's a never-ending rollercoaster of mentally grueling work, and by the time you step off, you'll be questioning your life choices like you just rode the world's most terrifying amusement park ride. Managers will use you for their own benefit, leaving you feeling like the sidekick in their poorly written drama. Support and adequate raises are about as common as a snowstorm in the Sahara. 

In conclusion, Zedcor is a masterclass in how not to run a business, a comedy show of errors that would leave even Shakespeare scratching his head. If you're a fan of workplace comedies, you'll find plenty of laughs here - though most of them will be at your own expense. So, grab your popcorn and enjoy the show - or better yet, start seeking those other employment opportunities pronto!  

Working here has been nothing short of a nightmare. If you value your mental and emotional well-being, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for employment. Zedcor is a textbook example of what not to do when it comes to employee treatment and management.

The stress levels are through the roof. From day one, you're thrust into a high-pressure environment where it feels like there's never a moment of respite. The workload is overwhelming, and it's impossible to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The expectation to work long hours without proper breaks is not only unrealistic but also detrimental to one's health.

Training is a joke. You're left to fend for yourself, with minimal guidance or support from management. Even worse, the manager himself appears to be poorly trained and ill-equipped to lead their teams effectively. Mistakes are met with harsh consequences, including termination, without any constructive feedback or opportunities for improvement.

One of the most disheartening aspects is the way they treat their hardworking employees. It's disheartening to see dedicated colleagues to get let go for seemingly arbitrary reasons, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among the remaining staff.

While there are undoubtedly some genuinely good coworkers who try to support each other, the same cannot be said for management. They seem more interested in piling on unnecessary tasks and creating an environment where stress is the norm rather than addressing the root causes of these problems.

The chronic understaffing issue is another glaring problem that the company refuses to address. Employees are pushed to their limits, forced to work grueling 12-hour shifts, and then blamed for not meeting impossible expectations. It's a never-ending cycle of stress and frustration  that takes a severe toll on morale and overall well-being.

In conclusion, working here is a draining and demoralizing experience. The stress and pressure are simply not worth it, and there are undoubtedly better employers out there who value their employees' mental and physical health. Steer clear if you want a job that respects and supports its workers.

The initial start of the job seemed like a great opportunity for growth and a very tempting pay with little experience. The community you work with in the survalence room are great, the night supervisors and leads are amazing leaders and fair to you and understanding. The work they do is the best part of the job and they do way more then they should be because they genuinely care and would make a much better manager. The management on the other hand has moral low, fear of job loss at a high and a complete miss understanding of how the work environment actually gets done and the issues and obstacles faced by the team during the 12 hour shifts. The temptation of free snacks and good pay may draw you in but within 2 weeks of working there you will come to understand it is a matter of time before the realization that it's only a matter of time before they recycle you with someone new due to a small error that wasn't in your control, and overall a negligible impact of the company as a whole. As someone who left in good terms, looking back at the experience puts into perspective the stressful, unfair, unhealthy, and overall awful experience being there due to management flaws. To clarify, the management I have seen falls on the shoulders of one man. The rest of the corporate team especially in the IT department do their jobs wonderfully and so friendly but this management issue falls squarely on the manager at the headquarters. 

This place used to be cool, but not anymore. Getting a raise is like finding a needle in a haystack, and good luck finding anything in the kitchen. We’re always short-staffed because people are either getting fired or just leaving.

The bosses? They don’t know the first thing about running the place or using a computer. It feels like they have their favourites and only listen to people who agree with them all the time.

It’s super stressful here. There’s too much work, and they want us to work all the time without any breaks. It’s impossible to have a life outside of work. And don’t get me started on training—it’s pretty much non-existent. If you mess up, they come down hard on you, no second chances.

It’s really sad to see good people getting fired or just quitting because they can’t deal with the bosses anymore. And the bosses? They never listen to what we have to say. Sure, there are some cool coworkers, but the bosses just pile on more work and make everything stressful.

In the end, working here just sucks the life out of you. The stress is just not worth it. There are way better places to work where they actually care about you. If you’re thinking about getting a job here, my advice? Find somewhere that actually treats you right.

Zedcor consistently makes terrible choices that affect everyone in the office. Management is a complete joke as they hire ex law enforcement who have no idea what they are doing instead of promoting long term employees who know everything like the back of their hand. If you want to be spied on by new cameras in your work space this is the place  for you. you will not have access to an actual hr department the office joke was that the hr department is an actual trash can because that's where your complaints are going to go.  You will have zero privacy, zero respect and zero reward. you will be punished for mistakes that arnt your own and credit from your good actions taken from you. Showing promise means nothing and you will be let go without any personal warning. This company is not worth it to sell your soul to. Manager will be up your neck and consistently not listen to anyone and change decisions week after week without a constant answer. You will get false promises. The lack of care for employees is just ridiculous and the turn over rate is the worst i have ever seen. DO NOT WORK HERE

Unfortunately, my experience with ZEDCOR was far from positive.  For the sales team, there was  ZERO SUPPORT, but extremely high expectations. The targets for the sales force were unrealistic, with unattainable targets and a lack of resources or support to achieve them. This creates a high-pressure environment that leads to frustration.  Management is top heavy and they exacerbates the issues with ineffective leadership, poor communication, and little to zero support. The work culture is toxic and the only one making extreme bonuses is the Management team.
The poor management style contributes to exceptionally high turnover rates with the sales team, with some employees only lasting 2 weeks. Management is reactive rather than proactive. Of 30+ years in the work force this is the worst company I have ever worked for. 

When I initially joined Zedcor, the workplace seemed promising. Management was supportive, the kitchen was well-stocked, and pay increases were a regular occurrence. Moreover, we had a full team to handle the workload.

However, things have taken a nosedive since then. Pay raises are now a rarity, even when you've excelled in performance reviews. The kitchen hardly sees restocking, and the company's chronic staff shortage, stemming from frequent firings and minimal new hires, has become unbearable. The new management is woefully inept in all respects.

If you ever consider working here, my advice is not to merely walk away but to sprint in the opposite direction as fast as you can!

Zedcor is a solid company that treats employees as people, not a line item on a cost sheet. Upper management is extremely approachable, and the company culture is hard to beat. Security is a 24/7 job, so the hours can be long, but employees are rewarded for their contributions. They tend to promote from within, so opportunities for advancement are ample for driven employees. 
If you are the type of person who digs the rollercoaster of emotions that comes with creating a new business vertical from the ground up, then Zedcor Security Solutions Corp. may be the right fit for you.   


Zedcor is a fast growing company that provides security surveillance systems with in-house monitoring (monitoring center is in Canada, not offshore). The work is demanding, and the hours can be long, but each employee is treated like a human being and is fairly compensated for their role. 
If you are a driven individual who takes pride in their work output, then you will enjoy your time with Zedcor. If you are the kind of employee that just wants to show up to get paid, then you won't last very long. 

Worst company l've ever worked for. Management is clueless, rude and often childish. Job security is a joke, expectations are unrealistically high, yet respect for employees is nonexistent and operators get belittled daily. Supervisors/leads are great but are overworked and everyone JUST wants to get done with the shift. Sure, snacks are free but there's even a limit on those.

Do not work here!! but if you still take the job, at least make sure you're on the same rotation as the Ops assistant manager, she's beauty with brains and sight for sore eyes in an otherwise negative and toxic environment.
