I loved my job, being able to work in the emergency department was great because of the fast pace. I was able to learn many things from the nurses about what goes on in the ER, mainly how important it is to be understanding and patient with the many different cases that came in. Working in the other departments also had their rewards. Management was very good to make sure our environment was safe to work in, I was mailed a card at one point thanking me for my hard work. My co-workers were easy to work with and helped one another when needed. The hardest part of my job was in the ER when children would come in and not make it, it was sad to imagine what the parents must have been going through. Most enjoyable part of my job was being asked to be a part of disinfecting when an outbreak happened.

This was one of my favourite jobs I have ever experienced. It was very hard labour but it was all worth it in the end. The staff who put the Ski Jump together were absolutely amazing, and I was offered a job at the 2014 Russian Winter Olympics, but other things came up and I was unable to join that team.

management doesn't seem to respect employees opinions and suggestions. difficult to balance personal life and work life. hr doesn't seem to want to work with employees to create equal workplace for all employees. favoritism is a big issue.

This hospital treats employees like you would expect from a large corporation whose bottom line is the company itself.  Job satisfaction is not a concern for management.  Pay is good.  Building seniority provides you with job security.

I had a splendid experience working here, the staff are lovely and willing to help learn. Typically each floor consisted of at least 2 PSW's working collaboratively with the nurses and doctor's on the floor.

Great atmosphere. Staff are very approachable and get along well. Management could be better. The patient to staff rations are overwhelming, 10:1. Interdisciplinary team efforts are efficient!

Every day was a pleasure. A very holistic approach to healing. Everyone that is a part of the healthcare team obviously has a sincere care for patient health

Student nurse there. Nurses are very rude to students, act as if we are in the way rather than there to help. As well nurses are the only degree that still has a required co-op while offering no pay. Terrific.

Staff members at BGH are all super friendly and helpful. It is really a team environment where everyone is a valued member of the team 
and will work together to better the patient experience.
