Working as a nanny has been a deeply rewarding experience. It’s more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to form meaningful connections with children and families. My responsibilities have included providing a safe and nurturing environment, assisting with daily routines, and planning engaging activities that promote learning and development. I take pride in fostering creativity, independence, and positive communication in the children I care for.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of nannying is watching the children grow and achieve milestones, knowing I’ve contributed to their development. It’s also a role that has taught me patience, adaptability, and excellent organizational skills. Every family is unique, and I’ve loved tailoring my approach to meet their specific needs.

Overall, nannying is not just about caregiving; it’s about building trust and creating a supportive environment where children can thrive and families feel at ease.

I would arrive at 7am each morning, i would help them dress before feeding them breakfast and from there we would play and go out for walks or trips. I would feed them lunch and then we'd clean up together. Around 6pm or 7pm Their parents would come home and i would go home.  I learned how to deal with children and how to defuse situations and keep them from getting hurt. Management was more my boss, they were great, almost friends in nature. I had no co-workers, i was the only one working. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the children when they were cranky or fighting, but there was always a way to make the situation calm. The most enjoyable thing about Nannying was the kids, they brought me joy and made me look at the world in a new light.

I would make sure the kids had eaten supper
play with the kids  
brushed their teeth before bed 
and cleaned the house when the kids went to sleep 
hardest part was when i had two kids at the same time that were both screaming

Nannying is an amazing opportunity as it teaches you to have good time management and take responsibility. You also have to think outside the box and be decisive in high pressure situations.

Depending on the family and parents you get, this experience can be amazing or difficult. My experiences nannying with two different families were incredibly different, but both rewarding in their own way.

Super fulfilling summer job. It all depends on the kids that you have but I loved mine so much! I was allowed the freedom of what to do with the children as well which made it super fun and changed up the days!
