Let's start with the pros:
-Great company to learn all aspects of your trade
-I had an amazing crew with a tight knit group of guys that became like family
-Well organized on the field side of things
-Seem to have for the most part bigger jobs so consistent work over longer periods
-Good safety culture
-For the most part they had very good equipment there's a few things here or there that could be upgraded to make some peoples jobs easier, more comfortable and more efficient
Cons: 
-Below industry average pay and LOA 
-Hard to get a raise after a spread has started, even if you learn something and become proficient at something that makes you more valuable.
- Upper management seemed disorganized at times with some administrative things
-Upper management could do more to ensure the guys in the field are being treated properly by the company instead of rushing them to complete projects
  
Overall a good company with some really great people. I think most the problems seem like they can be fixed if upper management maybe took some feedback from the people in the field.  

It's an entry position into the pipeline industry, and shouldn't expect too much.

Long hours, often get 3+ hours of additional work at the end of a 12 hour day with complete disregard of your well-being, then they complain when you don't want to do it. It's absolutely never a rush although it comes off as that way.

If you "click" with the foreman, you get to skip out on a lot of mechanic tasks /ignore mechanical problems so they get passed onto the next mechanic and still keep your job somehow.

They love to change your schedule at the last second, without notice, then get angry when you cannot accommodate because you already planned around the original schedule.

It's all about who-you-know, not what-you-know. Laziness gets promoted.

I have worked for this company since 2013 its a great  place to work , management is great, you can have fun while getting the work done. People are Friendly and easy to make friends. never bored always something to do to keep you busy. you get to learn new things as you can do  different jobs while waiting on material , such as doing QC on the coating, also doing repairs. Working on Tie-inns, painting  risers and fittings. Putting up snow fence for hotline dig ups helping other crews, such as flagging for Equipment crossings, doing repairs and Jeeping on lowering in crew. Doing clean-up behind lowering inn crew.

Just trying to do the job right the way they wanted it

The culture was fine and the equipment was OK 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Really good the morning were meet with kindness like good morning and things we were suppose to do that day and meetings on safety and things not to do which was great

Pipeworx was a very good company to work for and I enjoyed the work each day and was able to advance within the company.  I worked hard every day, never late and was good at my job and took pride in working for the company every day.  I enjoyed my foreman he was very knowledgeable and was very specific about the tasks needed to be completed each day.  There needs to be a better system to insure that good employees are kept on file to be given priority on the next job.

It is nice that Pipeworx is busy, and pays every week. The equipment is maintained and if you break a tool it is replaced right away. Love the employees of Pipeworx most have been around with Pipeworx for a long time. The management or all ex pipeliners and love to come out to the job sites and meet the crews. A bigger company that still holds a family environment.

long hours and decent pay with a very safe work environment. the typical workday is 12 hours from 7 am to 7 pm, anything less is an affront to my work ethics and time, which I quickly learned after starting. the 24/4 work schedule sounds horrible but it is by far the best way to gain industrial experience as well as trades hours.

I thought this job would be uncomfortable for me, I am women who had no  previous administrative oilfield experience. Instead, I found this to be a wonderful learning opportunity with lots of support from management. My boss and his wife were exceptional people and I was grateful to be working!

Pipeworx was a good company to work for, co workers were great and supervision was good as well, I would recommend working for pipeworx and I would have no problem with going back to work for them. 

Fast paced pipeline company with plenty of work and opportunity.  Great management and leadership, lots of opportunity to grow and learn.  Great people to work with.
