Although the tasks were mainly tedious, I am thankful for every hour of my experience at Thyssenkrupp. Management in charge of the team I was apart of could have displayed more leadership but it gave me a taste of real world interactions and shone some light that not every workplace will have stellar leaders; this plus many more reasons have allowed me to heighten my own leadership skills by implementing what I believed the management here needed to improve on and working on those qualities. While the work was fairly simple once you got the hang of it, the hardest part was maintaining the integrity of the team. Being a quality control inspector means that you are part of a team that designed to ENSURE the safety of these materials and if even one link of that team is working ineffectively, it can cause graver repercussions. Constantly reminding this to other less interested members of my team was definitely the hardest part. I really liked the actual factory staff; being a conglomerate involved in the automotive and mechanical industries, there were many engineers and machinists on site who allowed me to ask questions pertaining to the job and the workplace. I enjoyed learning about what I am very interested in doing in the future.

A very diverse company with many positions available to move into within the company, even abroad. Management was excellent with timely meetings to troubleshoot potential problems and foster teamwork. Frequent little moral boosting perks like BBQ lunches and free coffee and donuts to keep stress levels down. My co-workers were an absolute joy to work with. The hardest part of the job was juggling my school schedule but management and co-workers did the maximum to accommodate. A very dynamic and rewarding working environment. There was not a work day in which something  new wasn't learned and training was always available. A very positive place to work with a strong emphasis on safety and prevention. This company has not reached it's pinnacle. It is incredible how seemingly impossible goals are not just meet but exceeded by motivating, communicating, and trouble-shooting as a team. A company truly capable of taking on any project and delivering.

Worked on complex models, assemblies, drawings, dimensioning, tolerances and bill of material

Conduct studies to improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs
Assist production line with assembly problems, tolerance issues etc.
Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly processes to resolve NCR issues and work with Quality control and plant supervisors for continuous improvement.

The workplace is full of friendly people from various parts of the world, which is always interesting. The management, in my experience, tends to exaggerate the time frames, requiring that everything must be done "right now", even though the work, after completion, will sit on their desk for a couple of weeks. This causes some amount of stress, but nothing unmanageable. The working schedule, however, is really good; an option of having an earned day off on Friday every now and then creates a lot of long-weekends during the summer. In the beginning, the work is tedious, but it is only to get one acquainted with the environment. Any employee's personal life and healthcare is a priority over the workload.

This company used to be privately owned, under the name of Peckover's. I was part of the original team that Peckover's success was built on. When ThyssenKrupp bought us out, the corporate culture quickly spread like a flu bug in a daycare. Implementing a Management heavy business structure that makes drastic changes to individual employees without consideration or input from them. A new, "my way or the highway" management structure has negatively impacted a once prosperous and happy work place.

I am a hard working person that takes little time off and is willing to undertake any task and perform to the best of my abilities. I am on a floating shift and it can change from day to day making it very hard to orginize what little time I spend with my family I have very good relationships with my co-workers and enjoy all the diversity that they show me. The hard is part of my job is the changing of shifts from one moment to the other, at times leaving me in a confused state as working 16 hrs would do to a person.

Inspection of automotive parts; looking for defects. I learned there are many defects for the same part. Learned the different types of parts and what they belong to. My manager is a well rounded person and she would do what she could for you. I also think she is great at her job. Co-workers are great and easy to get along with. There really isn't anything hard about this job. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing the value in checking these parts for safety reasons and the people driving these cars/trucks/vans are safer because of what I do.

Worst Corporate environment, EVER! Unprofessianlism is real!!
Everyone in management has NEVER worked in management. THEY ALL need management training, especially in communication. If you want to get paid to pretend, work 6 hours get paid 7.5, you're great. HR lady, has NO REAL HR experience. Just likes to play dress up. Do your homework check ALL their Linkden accounts.
Management all came from the same past company.
Employees- 90% are great people!
Be careful of the employment agency lady! Keep all complaints documented. Turnovers unreal. 95% employees on contract

The place has a very good job culture, supervisors don't push you.
They are infact very supportive to individuals' needs and safety.
Worked in the company for two years, job is interesting because of different kinds of work pieces. I learned a lot from the job as it was my first job after college. The most important thing I learnt is the importance of discipline and power of praise. 
                         Co-workers are fine, diverse in ethnicity. Just like any other workplace, has few people who enjoy discussing people (luckily not a lot)!!

A unique and diversed environment to work, fairly laid group of people.  Great place to learn and develop new skills.

Longer work hours, but longer lunch.

Salaries are lower comparatively.

No opportunities for advancement, and too many half-baked changes and implementations in the culture with no follow-through.

Poor management who don't care about the little people.   If you're looking for career pathing and encouragement, this is not the place to work.
