Castle Arts is looking to hire a Visual Arts Teacher

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Visual Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in visual arts, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and instruct students across a variety of mediums.
As a Visual Arts Teacher, you will teach students in a 6:1 semi-private learning environment using our existing curriculum and adding to it as you see fit. You will be responsible for delivering engaging curriculum-based lessons, developing innovative activities, and providing constructive feedback to help students reach their goals. Resources and assistance will be provided to aid in your responsibilities.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Teach art classes for students Gr. 1 to Gr. 12
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of their work
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with other art teachers and staff
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during art classes.
- On occasion, communicate with parents or guardians
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma, discipline in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field is an asset
- Experience teaching in an academic or community setting
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques and mediums
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate organizational and time management skills
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children/teens
- Familiarity with current educational technology and digital art tools is an asset
Schedule:
Part-time positions available for weekday evening and weekend availability.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $27.00 per hour
