Location: Brant, Ontario
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: $50,000/year (paid bi-weekly by direct deposit)
Start Date: Immediate or Flexible
About the Position
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, hands-on property maintenance professional to maintain and improve a portfolio of residential, recreational, and rural properties.
This is not a desk job or a property management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in fixing, building, maintaining, and improving properties.
You'll spend the majority of your time working in the field using tools, operating equipment, performing repairs, and completing maintenance tasks. While you'll occasionally work with contractors, you are expected to complete as much work as possible yourself.
A company truck is provided for work-related travel.
What You'll Be Doing: Hands-On Property Maintenance
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance
- Carpentry, painting, drywall, fencing, and minor renovations
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs (within your abilities)
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and solve problems independently
- Keep all properties clean, safe, and well maintained
Outdoor & Land Maintenance
- Operate tractors, mowers, chainsaws, ATVs, and other equipment
- Maintain roads, driveways, trails, docks, and outdoor structures
- Tree clearing, brush removal, firewood processing, and seasonal cleanup
- Lawn care, landscaping, planting, and general property upkeep
- Open and close seasonal properties
Equipment & Vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance on trucks, trailers, boats, and equipment
- Keep tools organized, maintained, and ready for use
- Arrange repairs when specialized service is required
Projects
- Complete small renovation and improvement projects
- Purchase materials when required
- Work alongside contractors when specialized trades are needed, but remain actively involved in the work
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in getting things done.
You should have experience in one or more of the following:
- Property maintenance
- Construction
- Carpentry
- Landscaping
- Farm or rural property work
- Building maintenance
- Skilled trades
The ideal candidate:
- Is mechanically inclined
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Enjoys solving problems
- Is comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
- Is physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, climbing, and operating equipment
- Has a valid driver's licence
Experience coordinating contractors is helpful, but this is primarily a working position—not a management role.
Work Environment
Every day is different. You'll travel between several residential, recreational, and rural properties completing maintenance, repairs, seasonal work, and improvement projects.
This position is best suited for someone who enjoys being active and working outdoors rather than sitting behind a desk.
Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000 annual salary
- Company truck for work use
- Company credit card for approved expenses
- Work-related travel expenses covered
- Three weeks paid vacation
- Casual dress
- Company events
- On-site gym
Before You Apply
Please apply only if you enjoy physical, hands-on work. This position is intended for someone who wants to spend their day repairing, maintaining, building, and improving properties—not supervising from an office.
If your career goals are primarily project management, office management, or property management, this position is likely not the right fit.
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Company car
- Company events
- On-site gym
Work Location: In person
