Position Summary
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Overhead Door Technician, with extensive knowledge of commercial and industrial overhead door systems. This position involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs and preventative maintenance, and installing new door systems at customer sites throughout the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial overhead door systems.
- Install and maintain sectional overhead doors, rolling steel doors, operators, dock levelers, dock seals, and related loading dock equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and operational issues efficiently.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and meets company and industry quality standards.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while representing the company on-site.
- Complete work orders, service reports, and parts documentation accurately.
- Work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with the team when required.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Overhead Door Technician (commercial/industrial preferred).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with overhead doors, rolling steel doors, operators, loading dock equipment, and access systems.
- Welding, electrical, millwright, or construction experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely lift heavy materials and work at heights.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction.
Required Certifications
- Valid Driver's Licence
- H2S Alive (Required)
- Standard First Aid/CPR (Preferred)

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Frequent overtime available
- Approximately 75% travel to customer sites
Work Location
Remote – Travel required throughout assigned service areas.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
