Skilled Renovation Carpenter Overview
Rex Renovations is growing, and we're looking for an experienced, motivated tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and is ready to step into a leadership role.
We're looking for someone who can confidently lead by example, manage projects on site, and deliver exceptional results for our clients. If you're the type of person who notices the details, solves problems before they become issues, and enjoys mentoring others, we'd love to hear from you.
At Rex Renovations, we pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, innovative building practices, and environmentally conscious renovations. We offer a four-day work week (4 x 10-hour days) because we believe in working hard while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential renovation projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate daily job site activities and keep projects on schedule.
- Perform high-quality carpentry including framing, trim, cabinetry, and finishing work.
- Complete flooring, drywall, painting, and other renovation tasks as required.
- Mentor and support apprentices and other team members.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and maintain a clean, organized job site.
- Identify and solve problems while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- 5+ years of residential renovation or construction experience.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to complete projects independently.
- Leadership experience or the desire and ability to lead a crew.
- Excellent understanding of residential building practices, building codes, and job site safety.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Own a complete set of basic hand tools.
