Purileaf Brand Corporation is a privately held cannabis processing company located in Niagara Falls, Canada. An industry leader in manufacture of purified cannabinoids, Purileaf’s core business operations include manufacturing of pure input ingredients for Canadian cannabis companies and commercialization of functional cannabinoid containing products. In business since 2016, Purileaf has experienced rapid growth by implementing targeted investments in production, technology, sales, and marketing.
We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Quality Assurance team to assist with development, implementation, and maintenance of quality programs at Purileaf. The successful candidate will be working directly with our Quality Assurance Manager and will become an integral part of Purileaf Quality Assurance / Quality Control team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with written procedures for sanitation, record keeping, sampling, inspecting, and testing of input, intermediate, and finished products
- Conduct inspections and swab testing for production line release
- Conduct analytical testing of raw materials, water, and in-process product
- Develop test methods and assist with investigations
- Complete deviation investigations, change controls, and other QA documents
- Review pest control reports and initiate corrective actions when required
- Review and monitor environmental conditions; initiate corrective actions when required
- Register products under GS1 and prepare barcodes for finished product lots
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints
- Maintain and organize controlled documents
- Track and maintain inventory.
- Prepare purchase orders as needed
- Collect representative samples and log retains
- Assist with regular internal audits
- Carry out procedures for shipping and receiving inspection of cannabis and other incoming equipment/materials
- Assist with management and implementation of the Quality Management System, including training production staff on standard procedures, guidelines, and work instructions
- Assist with drafting and reviewing standard operating procedures, HACCP Plans (aka PCP Preventive Control Plans)
- Organize and file batch production records and other documents in accordance with operating procedures and work instructions
- Assist with validation protocols for equipment and in-house processes
- Work under guidance and instruction of Quality Assurance Manager
Skills and Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of Cannabis Act and Regulations
- Good understanding of Food & Drugs Act and Regulations
- Good understanding of ISO 22000 and HACCP
- Good understanding of Safe Food for Canadians Act and Regulations
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices for Drugs (GUI-0001)
- Able to work in a team environment but work independently when required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient with MS Office, Adobe, and other software
- Flexibility in working overtime if needed
- Must be able to successfully complete background/reference checks upon request
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
