Join Our Team We are seeking a reliable , motivated and compassionate Casual Cook to join our team in a senior living community . This position provides casual , on call coverage for vacations , sick time and other staffing needs .
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve quality meals according to approved menus and recipes
Follow all food safety and sanitization standards
Maintain a clean , organized and safe kitchen environment
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other team members
Accommodate residents dietary needs, allergies, and texture modified diets
Complete daily cleaning and food safety documentation
Qualifications
Cooking experience is preferred , but we are willing to train the right candidate .
Food Safe Level 1 is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organizational skills
Reliable, dependable and flexible with scheduling
Criminal record check in the vulnerable sector
