SUMMARY
The Internal Auditor is responsible for performing food safety and quality internal audits as part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring our food safety plans are robust and effective. Internal audits of production processes, document control measures and the facility infrastructure will all be included within the scope of this position. In addition, this position will also involve some sampling and analytical testing of various grains and flours as well as various administrative tasks related to maintaining quality assurance and food safety within our operations. This individual will also be expected to record and summarize findings in order to competently discuss findings with colleagues.
PRE-REQUISITE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION
This position requires an individual with a post secondary education (college or university) in a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. Previous experience working as part of a food safety and quality team and experience with internal auditing and risk assessment is an asset.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal Auditor
- Perform daily GMP and Security Checks of the facility
- Perform internal audits of all areas of the food safety and quality plan as per our internal auditing schedule
- Sampling and release of incoming raw materials
- Sampling and analytical testing of raw and finished products (tests may include moisture, water activity, falling number, rapid visco-analyser (RVA), granulation testing).
- Facility equipment calibrations and monthly monitoring
- Monthly interior and exterior inspections of the facility and logging of job orders
- Reviewing and verifying production and sanitation records
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development team, QA department, shipping and receiving and production to ensure lab results are shared among relevant parties. Any deviations must be addressed immediately.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
