Responsibilities
- Assist with watering and irrigation systems to ensure optimal moisture levels for plants
- Perform routine plant maintenance including pruning, trimming, and staking to promote healthy growth
- Use hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively for plant care tasks
- Monitor plant health regularly, identifying signs of pests or disease and reporting issues promptly
- Support harvesting activities by preparing plants for harvest, including cutting, sorting, and packaging
- Maintain cleanliness of the cultivation area, ensuring a safe and organized workspace
- Assist with inventory management of supplies such as soil, nutrients, and tools
Skills
- Must have experience in a Health Canada regulated LP of cannabis.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and horticultural practices to support plant health
- Mechanical knowledge for operating tools and equipment used in cultivation processes
- Familiarity with gardening techniques and plant care best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling plants or materials
- Basic math skills for measuring nutrients, adjusting watering schedules, or recording data accurately
- Experience with hand tools such as pruners, trowels, or soil testers is preferred
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning new skills
