Overview
We are seeking a reliable and self-starting Warehouse & Order Fulfillment Associate to join our team on an occasional/as-needed basis. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible hours with the real possibility of growing into a permanent, full-time role for the right candidate. You will handle the full order cycle - from data entry to physical shipment - with support from our office staff, while keeping our warehouse running smoothly.
This role is usually required between 7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday - no evenings or weekends.
Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations & Fulfillment
- Pick, pack, and fulfill customer orders with speed and accuracy.
- Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload heavy materials and pallets as needed.
- Regularly and safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 lbs to 50 lbs.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards during each shift.
2. Order Processing & Computer Skills
- Receive and accurately process customer orders through QuickBooks (or similar order management software) with support from our office staff
- Generate packing slips, shipping labels, and necessary documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain organized digital records of orders, inventory, and customer notes.
3. Customer Communication (Interpersonal Skills)
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding order timelines, delays, and backorder status.
- Provide clear, courteous updates when shipments are affected by inventory or carrier issues.
4. Inventory & Logistics Management (Organizational Skills)
- Receive and put away incoming restock deliveries accurately.
- Assist with inventory counts and report any discrepancies.
- Help coordinate pickups, deliveries, and book FTL / LTL freight shipments when scheduled.
What We Are Looking For
- Independence: Comfortable working with minimal supervision and taking initiative during your shifts.
- Dependability: Punctual, responsible, and able to commit to scheduled early-morning starts.
- Physical Capability: Able to safely stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift (lifting parts which are 30–50 lbs regularly).
- Adaptability: Willing to step in on short notice and handle a variety of tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current forklift certification and forklift operation experience - required
- Prior experience with QuickBooks for order entry and inventory.
- Familiarity with booking FTL / LTL freight.
