Home Share Provider – Welcome Home Program
The Welcome Home Program is a CLBC-funded Home Share program operated by Sooke Family Resource Society (SFRS). We match adults with developmental disabilities with Home Share Providers who can offer a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment.
We're looking for caring individuals, couples, or families who are interested in sharing their home and supporting someone to live a meaningful and independent life in their community. Support may include helping with daily living skills, community involvement, building relationships, and working toward personal goals.
Home sharing looks different in every home. Some people share family living space, while others live in a suite on the property with regular support from their provider. Our goal is to create a good match that fits both the provider and the person receiving support.
We're Looking For People Who:
- Have a stable and welcoming home
- Are compassionate, reliable, and patient
- Value inclusion and community connection
- Have experience supporting people with disabilities, either personally or professionally
- Are interested in making a long-term difference in someone's life
Pay: From $1,300.00 per month
Application question(s):
- Tell us a little about yourself and what interests you about home sharing.
- What experience do you have supporting individuals with developmental disabilities?
- Do you currently have a suitable room or living space available in your home?
- Are you willing to complete a Criminal Record Check, First Aid/CPR certification, and the Home Share screening process?
