Your Opportunity at SECURE:
As Lead Terminal Operator, you will lead the safe and effective day-to-day operations of the terminal and pipeline gathering system. You will be responsible for supervising, coaching, and training Operators while ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the pipeline gathering system and terminal.
As a hands-on leader, you'll work alongside the operations team to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations while fostering a culture of teamwork and operational excellence in alignment with SECURE's vision, mission, and values.
This position is based at our Nipisi Terminal.

The team at our Nipisi Terminal takes pride in operating safely and delivering operational excellence. Team members work collaboratively to support one another, share knowledge, and maintain safe, reliable operations while living SECURE's values each day.
Work Environment:
This position follows an 8-on, 6-off rotation (Monday to Monday) consisting of day shifts only.
A Day in The Life:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the terminal and pipeline gathering system, including supervising, coaching, and supporting Terminal Operators.

Assign work, provide ongoing training, and ensure operational priorities, safe work practices, and compliance with SECURE policies and procedures.

Operate and continuously monitor the pipeline gathering system through the SCADA control system while ensuring accurate on-spec blending, daily pumping schedules, and emulsion treatment.

Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions, alarm conditions, leak detection events, and emergency situations while supporting Operators through incident response.

Monitor pipeline leak detection, investigate aerial pipeline reports, and maintain accurate operational documentation, shift handovers, and console activities.

Perform and oversee plant rounds, equipment inspections, sampling, laboratory testing, minor maintenance, and general housekeeping.

Conduct visitor and contractor orientations, evaluate contractor performance, and complete work permits and Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs).

Participate in Emergency Response Plan (ERP) training exercises and support updates to ERP manuals, operating manuals, and equipment documentation.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues while participating in incident reporting and resolution.

Maintain clear communication with the Area Manager and internal stakeholders to support safe, reliable, and efficient terminal operations.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Area Manager.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Current status level must be Operator 1 or greater.

High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or equivalent.

Valid and acceptable Driver's License and successful completion of pre-employment testing.

Minimum of 5 years of pipeline operations experience with strong knowledge of pipeline operating procedures.

Intermediate understanding of SCADA systems and hardware.

Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS, TDG, Ground Disturbance, and ICS.

Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with the ability to develop and support Terminal Operators.

Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively with limited supervision.

Ability to accurately document work activities and maintain clear communication with the Area Manager and key stakeholders.

Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, operational excellence, integrity, accountability, and customer service.
