Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership or mechanic experience, along with a strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, to effectively assist customers and ensure their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues for service technicians.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance services, ensuring customer understanding.
- Upsell additional services or repairs that benefit the customer's vehicle while maintaining integrity.
- Prepare and review repair orders, ensuring all necessary parts and labor are accurately documented.
- Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to communicate customer needs and service progress.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers regarding vehicle status, additional recommendations, or future service needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including documentation and records management.
- Promote dealership services, specials, and maintenance plans to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
- Previous advisor experience or mechanical background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Sales experience with a focus on upselling services in an ethical manner.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage financial documentation responsibly.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license is required; clean driving record preferred.

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
