THOAR Mining provides a wide range of mining support and operational services, including project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and mining equipment operation.
We are currently seeking highly motivated, safety-focused Underground Mine Production Supervisors for a potash project with one of our clients at a mine site in Saskatchewan.
This position requires availability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts on a 5-5-4 Schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently lead day-to-day project activities supporting continuous rehabilitation operations.
- Supervise, direct, and support employees while assisting with training and qualification requirements.
- Maintain safe, environmentally responsible operating conditions within equipment design parameters.
- Provide clear work direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure employees understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
- Address performance concerns and support employee development when required.
- Mentor and develop team members, supporting career growth and long-term organizational success.
- Facilitate effective communication between operations, maintenance, management, and client representatives.
- Coordinate manpower, resources, and work activities to ensure safe and efficient contract operations.
- Act as a liaison between management, shift operations, and maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity and safety.
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Review and authorize work permits in accordance with site requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Underground Supervisor certification/ticket as required under Saskatchewan mining regulations.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Valid WHMIS and SCOT certifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices with an excellent safety record.
- Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the workplace.
- Minimum of five (5) years of mining Supervision experience, preferably in potash mining.
- Proven ability to lead teams safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple departments and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead crews while adapting to client operational requirements.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and process control software.
- Experience using maintenance or work scheduling software.
