Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools. This role involves working on a variety of construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings, where you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and installing structures and fixtures.
Duties
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform caulking to seal joints and gaps to ensure durability and weather resistance.
- Assemble and fabricate components for roofs, siding, and other structural elements.
- Lay tiles for flooring or wall installations as required by project specifications.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct construction painting tasks as needed to finish projects to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, drills, chisels, and measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks over extended periods.
