Job Description:
Person must be able to work with minimal amount of supervision. Punctual, good work ethic, and regular work attendance are mandatory. CSA approved steel-toe safety shoes and PPE are mandatory at all times for the duration of your shift.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and completes preventive and predictive maintenance plans, including inspections and mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs for all equipment.
- Work with outside contractors and Inspectors as required
- Respond to emergency equipment failures; Above average troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues (This may include ordering replacement parts and hands-on work repairing the machine or arranging for assistance with the machine manufacturer)
- Read and interpret diagrams and drawings
- Documents the cause and performs a Root Cause analysis to ensure prevention of future downtime events
- Installs new equipment, removes, and disposes of Old or Obsolete Machinery
- Assists / trains production staff in how to properly operate the machine in an efficient and safe manner and in resolving production related problems
- Maintains a complete catalog of all consumable and maintenance parts/items, along with the supplier, delivery times, and alternative sources for replacements
- Effective communication for shift crossovers, work order feedback, production meetings and maintenance / repairs coordination between shifts
- Selection and supervision of outside maintenance contractors
- Is available to be on-site during non-production hours to supervise maintenance teams and contractors
- Ensure all work complies with Safety Standards and Applicable Codes
- Housekeeping to maintain safe work environment
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate must have a trade license, such as Millwright License (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of basic automation, welding, machining, and plumbing
- Good communication skills, including written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in team environment
- Ability to work overtime on short notice and as scheduled
- Basic Project Management Skills
Shift:
Day Shift : Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (hours may vary)
